Chapter 21 Minecraft

In the conference room, Andy looked at the rows of staff sitting neatly and showed a warm smile, although she was a little uncomfortable with the feeling of being watched by many people.

In his previous life, he was one of the people sitting below and also stared at the boss with awe, because that person had his job. Perhaps the people in the conference room now had the same idea.

But he still enjoyed this kind of attention, "Hello everyone, I am your new boss, Andy Smith, I believe everyone is familiar with it. After all, my photos often appear in newspapers during this period."

There was no laughter that Andy expected in the conference room. The employees sat upright, looking at him with a serious and focused expression, touching his nose awkwardly, and then said: "It seems that everyone is still a little nervous, but you don't have to worry about work. I can guarantee that you will not be idle. Bill will give you a plan later, and there is my creativity in it."

Bill distributed a stack of information, and Andy stood at the top of the conference table, looking at the people who were looking through the information.

"This is a 3D sandbox game. What I need for this game is not gorgeous pictures and special effects, but the pixel mode you are familiar with. It mainly focuses on the game xing, allowing each player to freely create and destroy different types of pixel blocks in three-dimensional space to create exquisite buildings and art, or collect items and explore maps to complete the main line of the game."

"You can imagine that small wooden houses, medieval castles, major famous cities, sky lands, and underground cities can all be realized in the game one by one, allowing players to experience the feeling of God through the works they created."

Andy tapped the table, drew everyone's eyes and raised a finger, "I will inject funds into the company, so money is not a problem, you can work with peace of mind, and this game I named "Minecraft" is your future work."

The employees who were still facing unemployment some time ago were immediately excited. The company had funds and new projects, so they no longer had to worry about unemployment. They all excitedly applauded.

Thunderous applause sounded in the conference room, and Bill clenched his fists excitedly. He had made a LEGO-style casual game with pixel blocks before, but he didn't expect it to make him the project manager of the new company's first game.

Holden clapped and secretly felt sad. Bill got a new project. Although he was a little jealous of Bill's good luck, he couldn't help but feel shocked when he thought of the task assigned to him by Andy. Perhaps the project he was responsible for would not be bad.

Since the company's personnel did not change much, after getting new ideas, the company began to operate nervously. Andy had no experience in the company's daily operations and administrative management, so he urgently needed an excellent CEO, and he just needed to be a good boss and creative director.

To be honest, there are not many such talents in the United States. However, even so, Andy still found a headhunting company, who needs a rich sales and management experience and an excellent CEO in the IT industry.

Within a few days, Andy got the CEO he needed. The other party used to be a server salesman and it took three years to become the deputy manager of the branch. The two-year deputy manager made him unable to see the hope of promotion, so he resolutely chose to poach the headhunter company and became the new CEO of Mockingbird Games.

"Welcome to join!" Andy said with a smile holding Blair's hand.

"Thank you, I'm also honored to join the company." Blair's facial features are very tough, giving people a serious feeling, but because of his sales background, his smile is gentle and friendly.

"Boss, I've read the company's information. The game "Minecraft" is simply a genius creativity. I believe it will definitely make players like it, and it is not a problem to replace the Sims."

Andy smiled slightly, "It still requires everyone's efforts. Well, this office will be yours from now on, Mr. Blair." After that, he stood up and shook hands with Blair and said goodbye. "If you don't like these decorations, you can design them yourself and let them decorate them according to your wishes. By the way, the meeting room will be held in ten minutes."

"Thank you, boss, I'll consider it." Blair watched Andy walk out the door and look around the new office environment, feeling pretty good.

As for Andy's new office, naturally, is still under renovation, and he can only requisition the conference room for a while.

Andy climbed on the table in the conference room and was writing and drawing on a stack of paper with the pencil in his hand. The new CEO Blair and the company's management walked in one after another.

"You guys sit first, I'll do it right away." Andy didn't look up, but just gave a casual order.

After finishing the last game image, Andy put down his pen, put a stack of papers together, then looked up at the surroundings, and found that the people were all here, and coughed lightly, "Okay, now we have a meeting."

"There are two purposes for this meeting. First, this is Blair, the new CEO of the company. Let's get to know each other."

After the welcome applause, Andy continued: "Second, I'm holding the company's second game plan, developed by Holden. The name of the game "Plant vs. Zombies" is a stand-alone game for puzzle strategy. These are my general ideas and the game image in it. Let's take a look first."

The most exciting thing in the conference room is Holden. These days, watching Bill pull the company's programmers away one by one, and he can only sit down. He felt so upset. Finally, it was his turn. He couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. He hurriedly took the game plan from the boss's hand, and ignored the others. He just kept flipping around. Looking at the images on the draft paper, the expression on his face became richer and richer, and he couldn't help but mutter, "It's great, it's simply a genius creativity..."

When others saw this scene, they couldn't help but shake their heads and laugh. They naturally knew Holden's entanglement and depression these days, and Bill was relieved. After all, he and Holden were both colleagues and good friends. The company was the first to plan, but Holden was doing nothing. He really didn't know how to comfort him. He was really afraid of misunderstandings. Then even his friends might not do anything. Now it seems that this young new boss is indeed not simple, and he planned everything early.

After reading the plan, Holden stood up with a blushing face and said anxiously to Andy: "Boss, don't worry, I will definitely not disappoint you."

Andy nodded seriously, "Sit down, I believe you will do it well. Also, are you showing the plan to others? You don't want to keep it in your hands all the time, right?"

"Ha ha ha ha"

A burst of laughter rang out in the conference room, Holden shrugged a little awkwardly, reluctantly passing the plan to Blair.

Blair looked at the plants and skills of various shapes on the draft paper, and zombies dressed in strange ways. He looked up at the young boss who was enjoying coffee. The last bit of contempt in his heart was replaced by admiration.

More than ten minutes later, Andy put down the empty coffee cup and cleared his throat, "Okay, now two development teams have been established. Bill your team has almost transferred the personnel these days. If there are not enough personnel, recruit them. On the premise of ensuring quality, speed up the progress."

"Holden, don't worry. After this recruitment, you will be equipped with your team. Blair, the recruitment work will be handed over to you. The company is being renovated and the office space is limited. Now I'll squeeze it first. Well, I'll say so much. I've been a little annoyed by paparazzi this time. I'm going to go out and hide for a while. If there is anything, call or video contact."

"Okay boss." Blair replied solemnly.

After the game company was arranged properly, Andy felt much more relaxed. He has been busy these days, working until late to rest. He needs to do both plans and the personnel arrangements of the company. After all, this is where his career starts and there is no slightest carelessness.

The CEO is recruited, and the finance and legal departments are both part of his negotiating team. The development part is made into two groups, which distributes the rights to the greatest extent, so that he can issue rights with confidence and not be deceived. After all, he is not good at the daily management of the company, and it is still necessary to leave professional matters to professionals to be responsible. He just needs to be a good helmsman and owner.
