13. The Wizard(1/2)
In the afternoon, the furniture ordered by Merlin was finally delivered. After the decoration was completed, the empty house finally looked like a home.
Merlin used the bank card that Fury gave him, withdraw some money from the money allocated by the mission, and then took his new partner, Sylvet, for a walk around, and bought some daily necessities and some food.
Because of the work needs of Silvet, he also got an additional brand new computer. He assembled the computer in Merlin's garage and cleaned up a simple office for himself.
Fortunately, Merlin is a somewhat conscientious boss and did not let Silvet take care of himself.
“This is my work allowance for you.”
Merlin stood beside Silvet and placed hundreds of dollars on his desk. He pointed to the house next to him and said to the energetic Silvet:
"Your room is on the second floor. If you want to eat, go to the kitchen to cook. Occasionally, one of my cousins from afar will come home and I will take you to have a meal with him the next day and get to know each other."
"Oh, by the way, there's this!"
Merlin took out his chest holster and his own gun from his car and placed the thing in front of Silvet, saying:
"Every time I go out, remember to bring this."
"Well, sir, I'm not a formal agent yet."
Sylvet touched his sparse hair and said to Merlin:
“According to regulations, I can’t carry a gun.”
"Listen, Silvet, it's for your own good."
Merlin said earnestly:
"Hell Kitchen is a very bad place. The security here is very poor, and it is completely incomparable to the environment you were in the Secret Service. I don't want to hear the news that you were robbed and injured while on a mission."
"You are also a public official now. If you work for me, I have to ensure your safety. This thing is not to make you hurt people, but to protect yourself."
"Oh well."
Rookie Silvet put the holster and pistol in the drawer of the second-hand desk, and he said to Merlin:
"Sir, when will we start the mission?"
"tonight."
Merlin looked at the watch's time and said to Silvet:
"I'm going out now, and I'm back at midnight."
"What about me? What am I doing?"
Silvet was stunned for a moment, and he asked carefully:
"I don't need to go out with you, right?"
"What? Are you afraid of going out for the field?"
Merlin asked back and Silvet smiled embarrassedly.
While opening the car door, Merlin said to her partner behind her:
"You can go and rest first, make yourself a supper, and search and organize information from tomorrow. Or you can help me clean the room if you really have nothing to do."
"Buzz"
Merlin started the car, he lowered the window and told Silvet behind him:
"Call me if you have any questions."
After saying that, the black car rushed out of the garage, turned into the road in front of him, and quickly disappeared into the block.
Watching Merlin leave, intern Agent Silvet stood in the garage with his waist on his back. He looked at the somewhat shabby office in front of him and said to himself:
"It's not difficult to deal with, although it seems a little stingy. So what should I do now?"
The intern agent thought about it, and after a few minutes, he picked up the vacuum cleaner and walked into the room.
Well, just treat cleaning as the first mission of his upcoming agent career!

Merlin drove the car and wandered under the night of Hell's Kitchen.
The car was not fast. As the vehicle moved forward, Merlin's dark perception was like a moving alien radar, passing through this remote street. He was using this search method to find hidden aliens.
This method is inefficient, but it is the best way Merlin can think of at present.
The aliens are very good at disguising themselves, just like the guys Merlin met in Hell's Kitchen before, they are not really dark creatures.
Many of them are infected by ghosts or little devils. They are essentially humans, but they have crossed the boundaries of supernatural events and have more or less possessed some strange abilities.
These people are the unstable factors in Fury's eyes, and they are also the target Merlin needs to find from the vast sea of New York.
In addition to these weak aliens, there are some more powerful ones.
Some dark creatures that rush into the human world from hell or other places, such as pure-blooded devils and demons that exist as entities.
Some fantasy creatures hidden among humans, such as vampires and werewolfs who often wander around in the dark.
In theory, undersea people like Vico are also the targets that Merlin needs to record in his mission.
But if you are rashly in contact with these guys, you will be at risk.
Merlin must hide himself, then approach and observe them quietly.
Finally, there are some dangerous creatures that Merlin needs to temporarily avoid, some very powerful guys.
For example, in the Wall Street neighborhood of Manhattan, Merlin once discovered a very dangerous semi-demon. That guy gave Merlin the feeling that he was facing a real super-level demon. The demonic aura emitted by that guy even faintly enveloped the entire Wall Street.
It does not hide its existence at all, which means it has great confidence in its power, as if warning its kind of people not to mess with it.
Merlin had collected information about that guy, and he knew that the half-demon was called Damon.
On the surface, he is the boss of an investment company on Wall Street and often goes to the upper class of New York.
And there are several powerful half-demons like Damon in Manhattan. They are clearly distinguished between them. The rivers do not interfere with the wells, and they seem to have their own fixed sphere of influence.
"Click"
With a light sound, the camera disguised as a cigarette case in Merlin's hand was taken back.
On the street on the side of him, there was a couple who were kissing passionately. The lady among the couple looked very beautiful, but in Merlin's dark perception, the dark magic she emitted was obvious, which should be a juvenile succubus disguised as a human.
"Well, good luck, brother."
Merlin glanced at the ecstatic man with pity. He shook his head, turned the steering wheel, and left the intersection.
He is only responsible for recording and not for saving people.
Moreover, based on Merlin's personal experience, most people who can be related to the demon are not worth saving.
On the next block, it's a place close to the edge of Manhattan, where Merlin had never been before.
But here, he accidentally discovered something.
He parked his car on the side of the road and looked at the bar or nightclub ahead on the edge of the block.
In Merlin's eyes, this place was almost filled with all kinds of strange magic powers. More importantly, Merlin could vaguely see a layer of aura emitting green fluorescent light, which bound the dark magic powers and prevent them from escaping.
"A gathering place for aliens?"
Merlin closed the car door casually and narrowed his eyes:
"Is that halo a certain magic?"
Merlin became interested, so he looked around and put on a baseball cap and walked towards the bar in front of him.
But at the entrance of the nightclub, Meilin was stopped. A bald man in a white vest looked at Meilin and asked in a deep voice:
"Is this the first time I'm here?"
"Yes."
Merlin nodded, and the strong man took out a weird card from the box at hand and held it in front of Merlin. He asked:
“What’s on the card?”
Meilin narrowed her eyes, and there was a faint fluorescence on the strange card. In the state of spiritual vision, the card with its back facing him seemed to have a reflection, which could make Meilin see clearly.
On that card is an image of a demon.
"demon."
Meilin answered the question, and the strong man smiled. He turned his body sideways and said to Meilin:
"Please, sir. There's a great show tonight."
A young man lined up behind Meilin. When he saw Meilin walking in, he also took a try and stepped forward. The strong man in the vest held the same card and asked:
“What’s on the card?”
The young man said in Merlin's tone:
"demon!"
"Swish"
The card was turned on, and the card was filled with a funny frog, which made the young man's eyes widen. He clearly saw that the strong man in front of him had never changed the card.
To be continued...
