28. Gotham's Secret. The Robins(1/2)

"I still remember that when the Master was a child, after the death of Master Thomas and Madame Martha, for a while, he always thought that his parents' death was a murder."

In the underground river below Wayne Manor, Old Afu used his key to open the door leading to the Bat Cave and said to Merlin behind him:

"During those months, he kept running out and hiding in some dark alleys of Wayne Building and Gotham, looking for the murderer who killed his parents. He thought at the time that the legendary owl court killed his parents, but I didn't expect that the master's stubborn pursuit was real."

"The deaths of Mr. Thomas and Madame Martha are actually related to the Owl Court."

Old Afu's voice was filled with a tone of self-blame. Merlin shook his head and said to Afu:

"Don't blame yourself, Ah Fu, that's not your fault. Who can know that a horror story in a nursery rhyme really has a realistic blueprint? And I don't think that Bruce, who was only 8 years old at the time, would know the answer to all this without the prophets."

“I have a responsibility, too.”

Ah Fu said depressedly:

"I thought that after the master ran away from the Assassin League, he completely let go of those bad past events. I neglected. I should have cared more about him. Now I let him bear all this alone. Oh my God, Master Damian just came back. If something happened to the master."

"Don't think too much! Ah Fu."

Merlin stretched out his hand, and an Axifer seal fell silently on Alfred, regaining the mood of the old man who was trapped in strong self-blame.

He whispered:

"It's already happened, and now I'm not going to regret it at all. If you feel sorry for Bruce, then you still have time to make up after we get that reckless bastard back."

"Yes! We have to find the master first, this is the most important thing!"

Afu gritted his teeth and pushed open the heavy door in front of him. A large cave naturally formed underground appeared in front of Meilin.

This is the Bat Cave, and it is Batman's secret base.

The cave has a huge area, more than four times larger than Merlin's house in New York. The black batmobile driven back by Demian is parked in the center of the converted bat cave. Above the batmobile, there is a suspended simple apron, with a black light aircraft parked on it, which looks like a conceptual levitation aircraft.

This is not an exaggeration. Just in front of Merlin, there is a huge combination computer. The buttons on it are hundreds of large and small, as well as three rows of 12 extremely luxurious large displays.

This opened Merlin's eyes. Even in SHIELD, there was no such exaggerated thing.

This can no longer be called a joint computer, it should be called a joint data workstation. In 2001, this thing was definitely made after burning US dollars in equal volume. The technical content of this thing is at least 10 years ahead of S.H.E.D.

If Fury saw this, the petty-minded Ludan Tou would be crazy jealous.

On both sides of the joint data workstation are two-layer storage racks built of steel, with several glass covers for combat uniforms on them. Merlin took a look and found several sets of bat suits stored there. Judging from the appearance, they should be equipment used in different occasions.

In the covers next to the bat suits of different shapes and colors, there are also several sets of combat uniforms of young people.

That should be the combat uniforms of Robins.

Merlin also noticed that between the rocks on the flank of the Bat Cave, there were several blocked gates, which were permanent fortifications cast with the strongest concrete, where some of the "toys" of Bruce should be stored, which were not very useful, but powerful.

When seeing this expensive bat cave, the first thought that came to Merlin's mind was

"Rich people can do whatever they want."

The second thought that came to my mind was:

"Those criminals who were punished by Bruce were not knocked down by Bruce's fist, they were obviously knocked over by stacks of US dollars."

His last thought was:

"Compared with Bruce's Bat Cave, I'm really worse than a doghouse in my basement in New York!"

In the end, thousands of words gathered into a hoarse, full of strong emotions.

"So envious."

Afu ignored Merlin's feelings. Under the influence of Axis Fresh, this agile old housekeeper was in a state of super execution.

He reached out his hand and pressed the rock behind the entrance. The next moment, the light tube decorated around the bat cave lit up, illuminating the dark place in an instant.

Afu walked to the luxurious joint data workbench, skillfully manipulating the computer in front of him. After a dazzling operation of Merlin, completely different pictures appeared on the 12 display screens.

Merlin can only distinguish three of them, namely radar reflected wave images, camera video retrieval and satellite search frequency bands. Other search methods are unheard of for super agents like Merlin.

This is indeed a bit amazing.

It seems that Batman Bruce does not just rely on force to punish crimes. The extremely top information collection system in front of him is his magic weapon to win every battle.

"I have to contact the two young masters first."

While busy, Afu said to Meilin:

"It's about the master's family affairs. We can't let others interfere. It's the most appropriate choice to ask Grayson and Master Jason to help. They are trustworthy people."

"Oh, you mean, the ex and current Robin who is following Bruce?"

Merlin had heard of these two children, and he had also met one of them.

"Yes, Robins."

Ah Fu said without raising his head:

"They were trained by the master himself. They are very familiar with the master's combat methods. Whether it is tracking or fighting, they can help."

"If you trust them, do it."

Merlin took a step back and said to Afu:

"I can't help with these high-tech things. I will search Gotham as quickly as possible in my way, and I'll come back later."

After saying that, Merlin's figure changed rapidly, and in the blink of an eye it turned into a black raven. He spread his wings and flew out along another exit of the bat cave. With a low hissing, Merlin quickly disappeared into the night sky of Gotham.

The spirit raven Victor searched in another direction. This most traditional and least efficient search method has become a very effective search method after receiving the blessing of magic.

According to the flight speed of Victor and Merlin, they could travel all over Gotham in less than an hour, and Merlin's spiritual vision allowed him to observe the situation of every street on the ground in high altitude through his eyes.

The dark perception that is always open can also allow him to receive a constant stream of information. Of course, if the Owl Court was really hidden in Gotham City for more than 200 years, then their base will definitely not be so easy to discover, but Merlin doesn't need to find them immediately.

What he needs is clues, any possible clues, and then get back the Bat Cave and cross-comparison of the abnormal information retrieved by the data workbench with super computing power to determine where Bruce is most likely.

This is the combination of magic and technology, and it is also the best way Merlin can think of at present.

Of course, if he had learned the mysterious divination technique in depth when he was learning magic, then now he could use two wooden sticks to locate Bruce in the streets and alleys of Gotham.

Unfortunately, learning divination requires talent, and Merlin does not have the talent for mystery.

Moreover, the results of divination are easily disturbed, and the results of divination are not always accurate. This kind of magic does have great limitations.

For nearly an hour, the raven that Merlin transformed into flapped its wings, crossed the small waterfall outside the bat cave, and landed on the rock fork of the bat cave. He did not immediately turn back into human form, because in front of him, a very interesting scene was being staged in the bat cave.

Damian is fighting empty-handed with a child a few years older than him.

And beside them, a tall, handsome and handsome young man with black hair, who looked close to adulthood, was holding his arms and leaning against the batmobile, watching the two children fighting back and forth with interest.

These should be the two Robins who came to call.

The older one was the first generation Robin, who helped Bruce defeat the Assassin League and the Ninja Master, and now attends college in Brookhaven.

The slightly gloomy black-haired boy who was beaten by Demian was defeated but was reluctant to admit defeat. It should be the second-generation Robin who had met Merlin last time. A few months ago, Jason Todd, who had just followed Batman to "go to justice".

To be honest, these two Robins, both in terms of personality and appearance, are almost two completely different people. I don’t know what standards Bruce uses when choosing assistants.

"Don't fight again!"

Old Afu stood behind the joint data workbench. He watched Master Damien and Master Jason fight with a headache. He wanted to stop him, but he could not intervene in the situation.

Damian is a rebellious boy born with thorns. He was cultivated with a domineering temperament by his grandfather's harsh manner. Simply put, he was just a lawless little bastard.

Jason Todd and Merlin have no interaction with this child. He just heard Bruce mention Jason's life experience. According to Bruce's meaning, Jason is also a bad temper with a slightly irritable and aggressive personality.

The two children collided with each other and did not draw their swords to fight each other, which was already very proud of Ah Fu.

As for Grayson, he had no reason to intervene. The big boy had already left Bruce's "career" and was trying to return to the life of ordinary people. He had no reason or motivation to intervene in the "civil war" between the two children.

"Swish"

When Damian wanted to punch Jason Todd, his face and Jason were slapped with wings by a big raven that quickly passed between the two. The hellish bird waved its wings too much power, and directly pushed Damian and Jason to both sides, leaving almost the same bruise on the cheeks of the two boys.

The next second, as everyone was watching, the bird hovering in the air quickly turned into the gloomy Merlin's face.

He looked at the two boys who were fighting in front of him, and he said in a bad tone:

"Maybe you should find a wider place to compete in martial arts. I think the utility room is good."

"Listen, you two little bastards!"

Merlin looked at the two children in front of him and said in a stern tone:

"I don't know how Bruce educates you, but now I'm in charge of the affairs, and I don't have time to care about the childish conflicts between you! So, you either stand there honestly for me, or I just seal your mouth and throw you into the water to calm down! Choose yourself!"

"And you!"

Merlin's eyes finally fell on Dick Grayson who was leaning against the side to watch the fun. He said in a bad tone:

"I don't know who you are, but you'd better put away your sloppy look! If you want to help, show me these two lawless little bastards. If you don't want to help, then you can leave now!"

"Why should I listen to you?"

Seeing Merlin get angry, Damien, who suffered losses, quietly took a step back. Jason Todd, who had met Merlin but had no idea Merlin's identity, jumped out on his own initiative.

He clenched his fists and said to Merlin:

"That bad boy insults Batman! I don't allow him to say bad things about Bruce! Especially when Bruce's life and death are uncertain!"

"Shut up!"
