14. The Journey of Yongdu(1/2)
"Click"
A light mechanical closing sound made the old pirate Yongdu, who was lying on the bed of the circular test bench, open his eyes.
He was a little uncomfortable with the overly comfortable bionic design of the Earthlings. More importantly, as an interstellar pirate who licked blood from the blade, he was not used to the fragility brought by general anesthesia.
When you lose the ability to fight back, any child can give him a knife and end his life full of suffering and sin.
With the help of his pirates beside him, he sat up from the laboratory bench and looked at his left leg.
The flesh and blood that were missing during the previous Mars fall can no longer come back.
But now, Yongdu looked at his mechanical prosthesis that was connected, he stroked the bionic skin tissue and felt the feeling of flesh and blood connection.
The next moment, Yongdu pushed away his confidant with a rude look. He jumped off the bed of the laboratory bench, and then walked a few steps on his prosthetic leg.
The first step is a little staggering.
After all, it was a prosthetic made with completely different ideas from the technology I had come into contact with before.
But the second step is much smoother.
The feeling of touching the ground with the left leg is like substance. The intelligent prosthesis comes with a complete set of technology, which can adjust the prosthesis to the level that is most suitable for everyone's actions according to personal habits.
Yongdu was quite satisfied with this.
He reached out and patted the mechanical prosthesis, then gave the thumbs up to the intelligent doctor next to him.
These intelligent machines on the earth are really varied. Look at their skillfulness. These guys have served so thoughtfully that they not only provide the most suitable prosthetic limbs, but also considerately prepared special bionic materials for Yongdu.
The skin is no different from his original blue skin in color and touch.
“But if it’s just that…”
Yongdu stuck out his tongue and licked his lips. If it were just this, a perfect prosthetic limb for ordinary people would not meet the requirements of an interstellar pirate.
He kicked his left leg outwards suddenly. With the sound of mechanical crackling, the prosthesis spread out the weapon grooves on both sides. In the blink of an eye, six ray guns and grenade launchers appeared on Yongdu's leg.
Those exposed weapons made the leg look violent.
"Hahaha! That's what I need!"
Yongdu retracted his left leg with satisfaction. He patted the skin on his legs, and he said:
"This money is worth it!"
As he spoke, the rude old pirate picked up a cup of coffee from his hand. He gave the smiley smart doctor lady thumbs up, and he said:
"Change these guys too."
He is talking about his absolute confidants.
As interstellar pirates, how could it be that they are not injured? These confidants either lost their eyes, lost their fingers, or had hidden diseases in their bodies.
Since I have come to Earth and have personally experienced this great transformation technology, how could Yongdu miss this opportunity?
He is indeed very stingy, but he is very generous when he is to his own people.
This is also a kind of personality charm.
Because it was on Earth, Yongdu's group did not wear the costumes of the wild and arrogant pirates. They wore leather jackets similar to Quill, lined with suit shirts, and used alien disguise provided by m.i.b.
It seems no different from the people on earth, but these guys are used to being free and casual. They suddenly come to the seemingly peaceful earth. Faced with the ubiquitous order, these guys seem very uncomfortable.
It feels quite restrained.
It is difficult for a person, or whatever form of life, once he gets used to chaotic freedom and wants to adapt to the restricted freedom under order.
To be honest, Yongdu is a little uncomfortable with it.
If he hadn't changed his prosthesis, he would never have come to this place again.
“A good place…”
While his subordinates were undergoing the transformation one by one, Yongdu stood in a living room next to the laboratory.
He took off the alien disguise and put his waist on his original posture, looking at New York City under the night in this 30-story high place.
There was a hint of disgust for order in his red eyes, but also a hint of yearning for a stable life.
He looked at the city in front of him with bright lights. The brightly lit feeling did not surprise Yongdu too much. There were too many civilizations among the stars, and the earth was just the one that was not amazing.
What he felt was not the magnificence or beauty of the city.
What he was feeling was something deeper.
In his eyes, the layers of buildings were like frames after frame, bound the world and built invisible walls for the life of this world.
Freedom is blocked, but freedom is truly preserved.
“It looks like there is anything here, but there is nothing…”
The old pirate was like a philosopher at this moment, and he said with disdain:
"A good place, but not for someone like me."
"This place is different from when you came to capture me more than 20 years ago, right?"
Querna's signature relaxed voice sounded behind Yongtu. Yongtu seemed unprepared, but his left hand with his waist raised his leather jacket.
In the arrow sac hanging around his waist, the golden and extremely penetrating arrow had already lit up a faint light.
This means that as long as Yongdu blew a whistle, this arrow can kill every life in this more than 60-story building within 15 seconds.
And Yongdu is absolutely confident that no one can stop the shooting of this sharp arrow.
I have lived in a chaotic world since I was a child. If I hadn't had a few brushes in my hand, Yongdu would have been killed by malice from all over the world...
“It’s different.”
The old pirate answered Quill's words, and he turned around and looked at Peter Quill.
Looking at this young man with a complicated relationship with him.
"I came here for a quick glance, and I didn't even stay in this world for more than an hour. I admit that I took a look at it at that time and felt that this world was just like this, just like all other worlds..."
The old pirate shrugged and said:
"But it is really different. I underestimated your hometown, Quill, this time, I lost no blame."
His eyes moved away from Quill who was smiling and fell on the guy beside Quill.
That's a man.
A strange, serious man with a serious expression.
Wearing a sexy white suit, pure white, without a bow tie or tie, even the shoes are white.
This guy was holding a heavy, metal-made dictionary in his hand, staring at Yongdu with gray eyes, his eyes were cold, without any warmth or emotion.
This is normal.
Because this man is a robot, or smart machine.
A dangerous smart machine.
"Don't you introduce it to me?"
Yongdu picked up Quill's chin, and he sat on the soft and comfortable sofa by himself. He moved his waist a little uncomfortable, put on a big man's sitting position, and said to Quill:
"Who is this new friend?"
"Didn't you say you want to build a new pirate group?"
Quill leaned himself on the bar in the living room and took out a bottle of wine from the wine cabinet.
This building is a medical and transformation laboratory of the Mechanical God Cult and is occasionally used as a private hospital, so there is no shortage of food items here.
Quill opened the lid of the bottle and poured himself wine while saying to Yongdu:
"I went to my friend and asked. They all had serious jobs and were not interested in fighting for the lives of the stars and being pirates, but not everyone was not interested. Father Adam showed a strong intention to cooperate with you in recruiting you."
Quill took a sip of wine and said to Yongdu:
"This time you changed your prosthetic limbs, he specially arranged it."
"Are you satisfied with our products? Your Excellency Yongdu."
After Quill finished introducing the article, Father Adam, who was sitting on the sofa opposite Yongdu in a solemn position, asked:
"If you have any dissatisfaction, you can raise it. We have some new products that we only show to friends."
The tone of this intelligent priest was calm.
There was no emotional fluctuation at all. No matter what he said, it seemed to be describing the facts, but Yongdu could feel a very uncomfortable feeling from that plain tone.
He was knowledgeable and followed his team to travel around the world when he was young, and had seen many civilizations in the Milky Way.
He knew where that discomfort came from.
This smart machine in front of you...
He is a dangerous and sane believer.
It is the most difficult and terrifying type among all followers of faith.
