Chapter 561 We have the truth
"For the benevolence of heaven and earth, to live in the people, to preach the great way for the past saints, to bring peace to the world..."
After using a "Yanjing Hotpot" with a large amount of meat, Wu Haogu and Ma Zhi were drinking tea to relieve the greasiness in a side hall while talking about the issue of Confucian truth.
Ma Zhi was also a Confucian scholar. He didn't understand the great Dao. He was definitely not reliable in the Jinshi of the Northern Song Dynasty. However, he had read the Confucian classics and had heard of Zhang Zai's "Four Sentences of Hengqu", so he repeatedly recited the "Four Sentences of Doctors" in Wu Haogu, and always felt a little twisted.
"What is the saying about benevolence for heaven and earth?" Ma Zhi asked, "I have only heard of establishing my heart for heaven and earth."
"The world is not intent, and the saying of establishing a mind is nothing but moral words and does not make much sense." Wu Hao Gu's comment on Zhang Zai's famous sayings seemed a bit crazy, but he was not wrong.
He had some philosophical knowledge from later generations and was familiar with Confucian classics, so he could understand and understand Mr. Hengqu.
He paused and said, "Although the first two sentences of Hengqu can shake people's hearts, it's all. The last sentence is the ambition of Confucianism. What really makes Mr. Hengqu a great scholar of his generation is actually the third sentence."
"Support the unique knowledge for the past saints?" Ma Zhi frowned slightly. Among the four sentences of Hengqu, what he did not understand the most was this sentence. He knew that it was Confucius and Mencius, but what does "support the unique knowledge" mean?
"Yes," Wu Hao's ancient Taoism, "Confucianism and Taoism originated from the Zhou Li and became popular with Confucius and Mencius. However, since the Qin and Han Dynasties, it has been difficult to advance, so Buddhism and Taoism have flourished and Confucianism has gradually subsided. It was not until this dynasty that great Confucianism emerged and unique learning continued. However, the path of Guanluo's learning to continue unique learning was wrong. They could not use the right path to seek the Tao, and had to learn scriptures from Buddhism... What they passed on was no longer the way of Confucius and Mencius, but the way of Sakyamuni."
Under Wu Haogu's understanding, the meaning of continuing the unique knowledge of the past saints is to continue to develop Confucianism. The reason why the great Confucians of the Song Dynasty were called great Confucianism was to develop Confucianism and elevate Confucianism to a new stage.
In other words, they answered the great way that Confucius sought and heard but never obtained. They turned the "seeking the way of nature" into "preserving the laws of nature and eliminating human desires"... To put it bluntly, the great Confucian scholars of the Song Dynasty made Confucianism more like religion.
If the "nature law" is turned into anthropomorphic gods like "Christ, Allah, Buddha, and the Supreme Laojun", it would be almost done.
So they were undoubtedly great scholars, but they took the wrong path and did not find a way to answer Confucius's knowledge.
Wu Haogu used later positivism to correspond to Confucian seeking Taoism and the natural way proposed by Lao Tzu, which formed another "resulting ingenuity" route that is different from Guanluo Neo-Confucianism. This is of course the correct route! Whoever dares to say that it is incorrect will send a doctor to convince people with reason!
In addition, Jinggong's new learning now has taken the route of "taking Confucianism as the core, integrating various schools, and supporting the law into Confucianism", trying to find a way out of the political system, advocating "interpretation of the classics and applying them", and does not pay much attention to the issue of "not applying them" such as "resuming the unique learning".
What is obviously different from Guanluo Neo-Confucianism and Jinggong New Studies is that the empirical Confucianism, which uses positivism and the way of nature as its soul, has had its own theoretical advantages in theology and metaphysics since its birth, and therefore has a strong desire to spread.
Moreover, positivism itself also has sociological attributes, so it will inevitably have serious conflicts with the "comprehensive and practical" Jinggong New Learning, because positivist sociology will also criticize the new policies created by Wang Anshi!
After all, although the starting point of Xining's new policy is good, there are not many policies that can withstand practical experience. Even the original intention of reform can be proved to be empirically wrong. If the country is rich, the army can be strong, then the Song Dynasty is much richer than the Western Xia, the Liao, and the Jurchen barbarians...
Therefore, the positivist Confucianism that Wu Haogu has introduced now is theoretically easy to gain advantages for Guanluo Neo-Confucianism and Jinggong New Studies.
And positivist Confucianism, which has gained advantages in theory, can package itself into truth!
And truth has powerful power!
Truth can arm thoughts!
The truth should be spread to the world!
Truth will surely overcome fallacy...
"Da, Dalang, do you mean that you can use the method of empirical proof to seek the great way of nature?" Ma Zhi's face changed a little after listening to the theory explained by Wu Haogu.
He was not a great Confucian scholar, but he also knew that Confucianism did not believe in gods and ghosts, and also knew that Confucius "had to hear the truth in the morning and die in the evening." So he immediately heard the power of the "empirical way" set of "empirical ways" proposed by Wu Haogu.
The way of empirical evidence corresponds to Confucius' seeking the truth and the way of nature that Confucius seeks from Lao Tzu!
As long as you are Confucianism, it is difficult for you to refute the way of empirical evidence in the dialectics of the Tao.
"Yes," Wu Haogu paused and looked at Ma Zhi, "Since the Tao has been completed, Confucianism should no longer conceal the Middle Earth, but should spread the truth in all directions. The Doctoral Order and the Yuntai Academy were established to spread the Tao.
Brother Ma, are you willing to help me with me?"
"Me?" Ma Zhi seemed to understand, "Dalang, how can I help you?"
Wu Haogu laughed: "Brother Ma, you just need to have this intention. As for how to help, let the two young men go to Nankaimen Academy in Jiehe to study. I am the dean of this academy."
Jiehe Commercial City originally had only two gates in the north and south. The north gate was in Jiehebei City, which was called the North Open Gate. The South Gate was in Jiehe City, which was called the South Open Gate. The office of Jiehe Commercial City was just outside the Nankai Gate. The purpose of opening only one gate in the huge Jiehe Henan City was to prevent smuggling At that time, Jiehe Commercial City was not responsible for tax collection and withdrawal, so it was necessary to circle it to prevent smuggling.
However, after Wuhaogu entered the Maritime Warehouse Division, there was no need, so Shangshi Nancheng successively opened East and West Warehouse. As for the north side of Jiehenan City and the south side of Jiehebei City, there were bank embankments and docks along Jiehe River, so there were no city walls and gates.
The Nankaimen Academy, which is located in the south of Jiehe City, was started in the summer of the first year of Jianzhong Jingguo, and has not been completed yet. When the construction started in Jiehe Commercial City, a Six Arts Academy was built. It started to be in the east of Jiehe City, and it was next to the site of Jiehe Branch of Yuntai Academy Palace. However, after the completion of this academy, it was occupied by the Military Academy of Murong and used as a "Knights' School".
Therefore, Wu Haogu ordered a new academy to be built in the south gate of Jiehe Shang City, where Jiehe Shang City was built. The academy was not named, but everyone called it Nankaimen Academy.
Due to the rebuilding of academies, faculty, textbooks and other issues, the Nankaimen Academy, which was originally planned to open the school with the Jiehe Branch of Yuntai Academy, is still in preparation.
According to Wu Haogu's plan, Nankaimen Academy should be a ten-year-long academy that includes two stages of primary school and primary school education. However, students can choose to enroll in the Opening Mongolian period or in the primary school. Students who graduate from Nankaimen Academy will enter Yuntai Academy, Jiehe Knights' School, Jiehe Shipbuilding School and other schools to receive further education.
Compared with the Yuntai Academy, which is now popular, this Henan Kaimen Academy is actually more valued by Wu Haogu. Because Wu Haogu knows that the positivist and martial spirit of monks must be captured from children.
Now the students who entered the Yuntai Academy are older and older, and most of them have established their thinking. True positivist Confucian scholars and doctors of Renyi have to start from the dolls. Moreover, the warriors and doctors of the Jurchen minority who were able to resist the south in more than 20 years later are either not born yet, or they are dolls or teenagers, and only a few have grown up.
So Wu Haogu also served as the dean of Jienan Kaimen Academy. This academy later evolved into a university and became China's third thousand-year-old university, which is the famous Majestic Nankai...
...
"Big Stone, what is this doctor? Why does it sound like an official position?"
"The name of a doctor should be taken from an official position, but in Yuntai Academy it means not an official position, but a knowledgeable and talented preacher."
"Preaching? Why do you sound like a monk and Taoist priest?"
"The doctor is not a monk and Taoist priest. The doctor is a noble man who spreads the great way to the holy world and brings peace to the world. How can he be compared with monks and Taoists?"
The young Dashitou, Xiao Tieniu and Han Dagou, the day after arriving in the south city of Jiehe Shangshi, did not care about experiencing the prosperity of the Shangshi, so he went out to the west and went to the Jiehe Branch of Yuntai Academy Palace outside the city.
There were dozens of Song teenagers who arrived with them, most of whom were the children of the Ximen family, the Wu family, the Murong family, and the Chai family, as well as some knights from the Cangzhou Knights' House, and all of them could enter the Nankaimen Academy and the Knights' Academy. However, some people still admire Su Dongpo's name and ran to Yuntai Academy.
The person who entertained them was a Su family disciple named Jiang Tangzuo, who was from Danzhou. He was a native of Haogu, who was even earlier in the competition of Haogu, and was considered Wuhaogu's senior brother. In history, he was the first talented man on Hainan Island to participate in the Spring Festival Competition. Although he did not have high school, he was enough to set a precedent.
In this time and space, after Su Dongpo was promoted to Yuntai Academy, he asked someone to call his younger disciple to Haizhou. He did not become a teacher, but studied for a doctoral degree and did not complete the course. However, he was arrested by Su Dongpo and Wu Haogu and went to Jiehe Branch to "intern".
Unlike the main department of Yuntai Academy, Jiehe Branch currently does not have a "general" subject, only a "doctoral degree", so Jiang Tangzuo's current task is to explain to the students who come to study what to teach in the doctoral degree? What kind of talents should be cultivated? What will the doctoral degree lead to after graduation, etc.
