62 Scientific seminars

More than a month have passed since the bombing of the crossing.

At about 8:00 a.m. on May 15, the seminar on Crossings officially kicked off at the Pacific Rim headquarters.

More than 500 scientists around the world gathered to discuss the issue of crossings of the different spaces in the Pacific Rim.

However, the Pacific Rim organization refuses interviews from all media for such large-scale conferences.

Even scientists who came to attend the meeting signed a confidentiality agreement.

Because this is not just a simple scientific discussion, but also a summary meeting on the failure of the bombing plan.

The host speaks first:

"In March last year, we formulated a bombing plan, spent 50 billion yuan, gathered the power of five major branches to build five deep-sea mechas.

On the 10th of last month, the bombing plan began to be implemented.

However, the results of the plan were not ideal.

Five mechas lost the deep sea and the nuclear bomb failed to blow up the crossing. It can be said that our plan completely failed.

So, what causes this failure? What secret is hidden in the crossing mouth?

Based on these two issues, we held this meeting…”

After a simple opening remark, the first speaker was German astrophysicist Fair.

"I have always believed that the so-called crossing mouth is consistent with the characteristics of the wormhole.

In theory, wormholes are space tunnels connecting two distant space-time, like vortexes in the sea, ubiquitous but fleeting.

These space-time vortexes are caused by the rotation of the star body and the gravitational force. Just as the vortex can make the local water surface closer to the bottom, it can make two local spaces with relatively far distances very close in an instant.

.........

The wormhole connects the black hole and the white hole, and transports matter between the black hole and the white hole. Here, the wormhole becomes an Albert-Rosen Bridge, and matter is completely disintegrated into elementary particles at the singularity of the black hole, and then passes through this wormhole, namely the Albert-Rosen Bridge, and is transmitted to the white hole and radiated out.

A wormhole has no horizon, it only has one decomposition surface with the outside world, and the wormhole is connected through this interface to super-time and space.

And the crossing mouth is this decomposition surface...

Crossing the mouth is a wormhole. This theory is not new and has been proposed by scientists for many years.

Because if the crossing mouth is not a wormhole, it is just a simple door, then where is the monster's hometown? The center of the earth?

How could there be so many such powerful monsters in the center of the earth?

However, the crossing mouth is a wormhole, and such an intuitive theory conflicts with some scientific experiments.

So, someone raised his hand and interrupted Fair's speech.

"As we all know, wormholes are extremely unstable. If there is a slight disturbance, the wormhole will collapse, which is completely different from the situation of crossing the mouth."

The Crossing Mouth has appeared for more than ten years. Every time the monster appears, the movement is so loud. If the Crossing Mouth is really a wormhole, it should not be motionless.

Even the last nuclear bomb exploded, it could not blow up the crossing mouth.

Fair smiled lightly and continued to explain:

“Indeed, wormholes are very unstable and have super stances, but you seem to have forgotten that ‘negative energy’ can neutralize the super stance of the wormhole.

We assume that there is a strange substance in the wormhole that can have both positive and negative energy, so this strange substance can completely stabilize the wormhole and facilitate the entry and exit of monsters..."

Negative energy is a scientifically hypothetical energy substance.

Because people have never observed any negative energy matter in the macroscopic world.

In fact, in physics, scientists usually set the energy of a vacuum to zero.

The so-called vacuum means nothing, and negative energy means "less" matter than a vacuum with nothing, which is almost contradictory in classical physics.

So when Fair talks about this, someone raised questions.

"In scientific theory, the mass of negative energy is extremely large. The amount of negative energy required to maintain a wormhole of one kilometer diameter is equivalent to the mass of the entire solar system, and the crossing port is located deep in the seabed of the earth..."

Although the diameter of the crossing mouth is not one kilometer, it still has three or four hundred meters. If this negative energy really exists, it would have long been "suppressed" the earth.

Fair wasn't laughing this time, his expression became serious:

"About this issue, it involves the calculation of time curvature in wormholes..."

................

The scientific seminar lasted for five days. During these five days, scientists from all walks of life outlined Fair's theory and put forward suggestions and supplements.

The final conclusion of the seminar was that there was a strange substance in the crossing mouth, which could have both positive and negative energy. Scientists named this substance Phantom matter.

It is precisely because of the existence of this substance that the energy of the nuclear bomb explosion is offset.

It is impossible to completely blow up the crossing mouth. There are only two ways to prevent monsters from invading.

1. Blast a black hole singularity from the source, that is, the other end of the crossing mouth.

2. Block the crossing mouth and make monsters have no way to enter and exit.

The first method is very dangerous. Humans have no idea what is going on at the other end of the crossing mouth. They are rashly passing by, and they are likely to be surrounded by a group of monsters before they blow up the singularity.

Therefore, the Pacific Rim Defense Organization is preparing to adopt a second plan.

Block the crossing.

But the problem is, how to block it? Concrete or cast iron?

And there is still a monster squatting at the Crossing Point.

If you don’t kill that monster, you can’t block it no matter how you block it.

After all, the crossing mouth is so big that if you want to completely block it, the number of concrete or cast iron is an astronomical number.

There are so many materials that cannot be put down at one time.

If it is put into batches, it is likely to be destroyed by the monsters squatting in batches.

............

North American branch, Scott office.

After reading the minutes of the meeting, Scott threw it to the ground in anger.

What are you talking about?

When I opened my mouth and shut up, I talked about scientific theories, and when I talked, I became floating.

From black holes to galaxies, from galaxies to the Big Bang...

Damn, what does this have to do with crossing mouths and monsters?

I still want to block the crossing, have those scientists' brains been flooded?

Such a deep seabed, such a large range, there is a fourth-level monster around it. How to build it and how to block it?

It's just standing and talking without back pain.

After venting, Scott took a sip of water and sat in a chair to recall the content of the meeting he had just seen.

It seems that there is no desirability at all.

So Scott picked up the meeting minutes again, and when he saw the above mentioned plan to blow up the other end of the crossing mouth, he couldn't help but look thoughtful.

This plan seems to be feasible, but I don’t know what the situation is on the other side of the crossing.

But if you want to know the situation on the other side, the only way is to know the monsters.

I don’t know if humans and monster brains can succeed in doing neural exchanges.

Thinking of this, Scott called his assistant.

"You go and invite Dr. Newton to my office. I have some questions to consult him."

"Yes, General."
