Chapter 17 Four Seasons and Five Elements

The Chunting Pavilion is indeed the smartest existence among our group.

In such a strange situation, we were all confused, but Chunting could still make his own judgment, which was really rare.

Before I could ask Chunting, I found that Chunting's eyes had already looked at me.

Qi Zhi had already told Shen Lang just now that there was a dark hall in our direction, so he did not ask me if I had any discoveries, but unexpectedly made a guess about my discoveries.

"Han Chuan, if I guess correctly, does the black brick and black tiles hall you found also have a plaque, and the words Xuantang engraved on this plaque?"

After hearing Chunting say this, I was surprised and quickly asked him how he learned about it.

"That's right, Chunting, how do you know?"

Chunting's brows that had been frowning when he entered here finally stretched out, and his face became even more smiling. He did not answer to me, but walked to the east alone, waved his hand to signal us to follow his steps, and his tone was so light.

"Go and verify it again, I may have guessed where this place is."

Things are getting more and more interesting.

I didn't agree with Chunting's plan at first, because I felt it was difficult to find clues in such an important place. Even if everyone was looking around, it was just useless work.

But when I heard the voices of everyone, I found something in every direction, and without exception, it was a majestic hall, but the colors were different.

And in my confusion, Chunting had already made some guesses.

We all understand Chunting's character, and we cannot ask what he doesn't want to say. Seeing this, we had to follow his steps and wait for him to verify his ideas one by one.

The direction chosen by Chunting is Zhengdong. The one who went to Zhengdong just now was Shen Lang and Yihe. According to Shen Lang, the blue bricks and tiles of the main hall in Zhengdong look particularly sacred, and the two words Qingyang are engraved on the plaque at the entrance of the hall.

Since we didn't have to pay attention to the details along the road, we soon arrived at the hall where Shen Lang said.

Chunting signaled us to stop. He carefully reached out and pushed the door of the main hall, but there was no mechanism trap we had imagined. With a creaking sound, the blue main hall slowly opened in front of us.

After careful observation, Chunting confirmed that there was no danger here, so he asked us to come forward with confidence and walked into the hall with him.

I saw that the hall was covered with blue color, and there was no decoration. It was extremely simple but majestic. There was a desk in the middle of the hall, where a statue was enshrined on the desk, and a tablet was enshrined in front of the statue.

This statue of god has the body of a bird and the appearance of a human being. It is stepping on two giant dragons under its feet. It looks simple and sacred. Although it is just a statue, it seems to have infinite divine power, which makes people dare not look directly at it.

We were curious and hurried to the tablet to find out which god was worshipped, but Chunting did not move, but laughed even more happily and said to ourselves.

"It's true that the bird's body and human face, riding on two dragons."

I heard Chunting’s self-talk and had a vague impression. When I saw the content on the tablet, I finally realized it.

The one worshipped here is actually the Emperor Taihao of Heaven.

Taihao lives in the East and took Qinglong, and was the ancestor and leader of the ancient Dongyi. He was both the Eastern ancestor god and the Eastern Emperor, and was called the Qing Emperor.

No wonder the whole place is full of green color, blue bricks and tiles, and it turns out that it is a place where the Qing Emperor is worshipped. No wonder it was built like this.

If the person worshipped here is Taihao, then the identity of this statue will also have an answer.

This statue of god is the legendary Jumang.

Jumang is the spring god in ancient mythology and the wood god in the five elements. He is in charge of the germination and growth of trees, assists the Eastern Emperor Qing Emperor Taihao, and is in charge of the Fusom trees that rise by the sun every morning.

Because Jumang is the god of spring, it is very important in ancient times. Every year, there are special people offering sacrifices. Legend has it that its original appearance is bird body and human face, and rides on two dragons. No wonder I sounded so familiar when I talked to myself just now.

Just as I was about to ask Chunting, I saw Chunting walk out of Qingyang Palace without hesitation and shouting that we should follow us quickly.

"Let's go, go to the next hall to take a look. This Vientiane Temple is a bit interesting."

The direction he chose this time was Zhengxi.

Without saying a word, we soon arrived at the hall discovered by Ling Xuan and Chen Gong in the west. As they said, the hall was white bricks and white tiles, and the words "General Chapter" were engraved on the plaque, which looked a little strange.

Niu Kelian seemed to have guessed something. Before Chunting opened his mouth, he pushed open the gate of the General Zhang Hall and entered the hall directly.

The layout here is almost exactly the same as in Qingyang Hall, except that the whole body of the hall is decorated in white, and the statues worshipped are slightly different.

This statue of god has a human face and a tiger's claws. It also stole two dragons under its feet, and a snake hangs on its left ear.

Everyone hurried to the tablet and wanted to know which sacred place was worshipped here.

But I didn't move in place. After seeing this statue of god, I contacted the Dongfang Qingyang Palace that I just discovered, and finally had a trace of guess.

With a human face and a tiger claw, a snake with its left ear, riding on two dragons, is this statue of the god Rushou?

"Shaohao?"

When I heard the name on the tablet that Xue Nan mentioned, I finally confirmed my guess.

This should not be called a tablet, but a divine position.

Shaohao is legendary as the son of Huangdi, the leader of the ancient tribe, and one of the Communist ancestors of China. He was respected by later generations as the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors. In mythology, he was respected as the Western Heavenly Emperor, also known as the White Emperor.

Rushou is the autumn god located in the west in mythology and legend, and is also the golden god in the five elements. He is the main subject of autumn harvest. There is a legend that Rushou is the auxiliary god of Baidi Shaohao, and there is also a legend that Rushou is the son of Baidi. No matter what identity he has, there are sufficient reasons to worship here.

Now, I can finally confirm my guess.

These four halls enshrine the throne of the four heavenly emperors, as well as the legendary statues of the four gods, spring, summer, autumn and winter.

If I follow my thoughts, the hall found in the south of Chunting is worshipped in the throne of Emperor Yan and the statue of the Xia God Zhurong, while the hall that I and Qi Zhi discovered is worshipped in the darkened hall, which is worshipped in the throne of Zhuanxu and the statue of the winter god Xuanming.

But what does this have to do with us?

Moreover, if my guess is true, there is only one of the most important halls missing here.

That is the central hall.

The most important gods should be worshipped in the central hall.

That is the throne of Huangdi and the statue of Houtu, the mother of Earth.

Obviously this should be the most important offering, but now we have not found any clues at all. Why is this?

When Ling Xuan saw me, he probably saw that I had gained something but was still confused, so he came over to comfort me.

"Han Chuan, don't worry, since it's a good thing to discover, we might as well go to the other two halls to explore and see if it's as we guessed."

It seems that although Ling Xuan is not as smart as Chunting, he still sees through the layout here one step earlier than me.

After thinking about it, it was indeed as he said. I could only nod and walked to the next two halls with everyone.
