【054】Wake up

There was no huge shock or impact. When the dispersed petal bullets were ejected, my aunt lowered her head and glanced at her chest. A big hole opened in her chest. From the back, she could see Zhong Kui’s half-stretched body in front of her——

My aunt will not feel pain, she is already a ghost without a soul. She stands quietly in the wind, with an expression on her face that is irrepressibly depressed, but also complicated and frightening. Although there is no terrible tragedy.

She yelled, but her blood-dropping eyes stared at Zhong Kui with hatred. Her eyes froze for a moment, and her body, which almost disappeared, struggled with the pain as if it was being torn apart layer by layer by the wind.

Finally, there was a hint of calm pain, a deep look in his eyes, and cracks appeared on the pale facial features, pieces, bits and pieces, like phantoms, drifting away in the wind.

The fog was misty, like a dream. The feeling of wet clothes was cold! He hugged his elbows tightly. The flexible leaves of silk grass covered with dew hung low, and dewdrops trickled down the tips of the leaves and tickled his face.

He opened his eyes in a daze, and his vision was blurred, as if it was stuck with eye droppings. He subconsciously raised his left hand and wiped his face hard, feeling wet. His vision began to become clear, and everything around him came into view——

He struggled to get up and glanced around with confused eyes, as if everything in his memory had become vague, misty and unreal. His fingers had been bent for a long time, and his knuckles were a little painful. The pain extended all the way to his arms, and the pain awakened the pain that he had not yet had time to settle.

Memory. Suddenly I remembered why I didn't wipe my face with my right hand just now. It turned out that my right arm was so painful that I couldn't lift it up.

With his backpack a few feet away, Zhong Kui felt like he had been kicked out of a hotel because he had no money to live in. The deserted, lonely, and blurry image that remained in his mind must have been from staying out last night.

Nightmare.

Encountering his aunt in a dream, he saw another version of himself rushing towards him. The moment his aunt disappeared, he struggled with her - thinking of this, his arm ached slightly, and there was a crescent-shaped scar on his arm, which seemed to have become scarred -

Bracing himself up, he picked up his backpack. A damp breath hit him and he trembled all over. Then he felt hungry. Zhong Kui remembered that there was food in the backpack. There was at least a piece of bread or something. He sat down on the ground again and leaned against a table.

He put the bag on his knees under a huge branch and opened the zipper. He rummaged through it carefully and finally found bread and half a bottle of mineral water on the third floor.

Bread mixed with mineral water filled his stomach half full, and he continued walking. He could no longer remember what happened yesterday, as if he had gone through a nightmare. When everything returned to reality, this feeling became more and more intense.

Let him be sure that it was the scenes that appeared in the dream.

He didn't walk aimlessly, but kept walking along a path. The compass stopped rotating. I don't know if it was broken or for other reasons. In short, when he left the place where he woke up, he suddenly found that the compass started to work again.

stand up.

The slender pointer was beating - looking at the position, he should be walking towards the center of the forest. For some reason, he suddenly had a strong premonition of what he would see next -

Sure enough, at the end of the road, an iron gate appeared. Many people gathered at the door, wearing uniforms, as if they were looking for something.

Zhong Kui stared at them warily. The only weapon in his hand was the soul-eating gun. He didn't know what harm this soul-eating gun would do to humans.

However, these people seemed to have no ill intentions. When Zhong Kui appeared in front of them, they all looked at him with surprised expressions——

Suddenly, a person ran towards him and desperately stretched out his warm arms to hug him.

"Good brother, just be okay."

Zhong Kui stood stiffly, struggling with some resistance in the intimate embrace of this strange yet familiar person.

His unusual and sluggish behavior confused many people. They looked at him in confusion, and someone called his name: "Zhong Kui, aren't you from the special department? We came here after receiving your call.

"

"Phone?" Zhong Kui was confused. When did he call outside? Besides: that broken mobile phone has no signal, how can it be possible to make a call?

The man who hugged him also hurriedly asked: "Little brother, what's wrong with you? You won't forget me, the old brother who we just met so many years ago, right?"

Seeing the other person's temples gray and wrinkled, his eyes filled with excitement. Zhong Kui didn't resent him. He stretched out his hand to gently wipe away his tears, shook his head and said: "It's not that I forgot, I don't remember you at all."

Who is it?"

"Brother, I am Zhiqing, they - they are all your colleagues, and also Jun'er's colleagues."

"colleague?"

"yes!"

"that is."

Several people came up and spoke to Zhong Kui first.

"Zhong Kui, do you remember? You teased that guy in the conference room and he already committed suicide."

"Why commit suicide?" Zhong Kui seemed interested in this.

"Let's talk about it when we go back. Let's clear this place first." The leader stopped the chattering little comrade and said.

While talking, they all put on a set of snow-white defensive clothing. It looked like they were going to spray some medicine, and there were many sprayers on the ground. Zhiqing was left to take care of Zhong Kui, trying to awaken his memory through conversation.

Zhong Kui really couldn't remember who these people were in front of him, and his mind went blank.

Several colleagues were setting up a temporary tent, and Zhong Kui devoured the food they handed him.

Zhiqing stared at him distressedly, seeing how starving he was. God knows, what kind of situations he encountered in the forest in the past month, and how he survived?

After the tent was set up, Zhiqing handed Zhong Kui a bottle of water: "Swallow slowly, don't choke."

"Thanks."

"You, please don't be polite to me. We are brothers and we don't pay attention to those formal things."

"o(n_n)ohaha~." Zhong Kui felt that his smile must be ugly, because he saw that the other party did not smile.

A reporter who claimed to be a newspaper reporter, with Zhiqing's permission, came into the tent and sat down next to Zhong Kui and asked with a smile: "Zhong Kui, can you recall the story that happened to you?"

"I don't remember. It seemed like I had a dream. This dream was very long. When I woke up, I couldn't find my way home. Then I walked randomly and saw you."

"No way! When you called us, you spoke clearly and clearly, and you also told Jun'er how to take the route. You sent him text messages about the details of the prison, otherwise how could the bureau believe it?

What did he say? Send so many people to find you?"

Zhong Kui looked at Zhiqing blankly. What he said seemed to have nothing to do with him. "It's not me, I didn't make the call. I don't know, I don't know."
