Chapter 32 The Story of the Bodhisattva(1/2)

In Middle-earth Buddhism, there are four great Bodhisattvas who are most famous.

That is Guanyin, Samantabhadra, Manjushri and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

These four Bodhisattvas often appear in the world, so they are often worshipped by people. Among them, Guanyin Bodhisattva is the first in compassion, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is the first in practice, Manjushri Bodhisattva is the first in wisdom, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is the first in vows. Although he has never practiced the Buddha's position, he is the most respected and noble master, and is the most admired by all people.

If you worship Sakyamuni Buddha, there will definitely be two Bodhisattvas next to the Buddha statue, Manjushri and Samantabhadra, wisdom and practice, respectively representing the words "interpretation" and "action". Manjushri and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva are the servants beside the Buddha. According to the secular world, these two will be the first and second heirs to inherit the Buddha's position in the future, and they are very scary.

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's temple is located in Emei Mountain, Sichuan. Legend has it that this Bodhisattva looks like a full moon boy, wearing a five- Buddha crown, holding a vajra in his right hand, holding a vajra bell in his left hand, sitting on a thousand-leaf flower, carrying a three-headed white elephant king.

The reason why it is said in the world that Emei is the place of this Bodhisattva is because the sutra once said that Guangming Mountain in the southwest, and Mount Emei looks like a similar image.

No matter how many legends there are, most of them point to one point - Samantabhadra Bodhisattva should have a round image of a full moon.

And the person in front of Yi Tianxing... seems to be too far from the Bodhisattva's solemn treasure elephant.

The hair covered his forehead, the skinny and bony body was covered with wounds, and he looked like a ghost.

Although Ye Xiang was reincarnated by Manjushri, he had a handsome face and was not as beautiful as an ordinary person. Therefore, Yi Tianxing was not surprised when he first met his identity, and accepted it easily.

But when he saw Samantabhadra Bodhisattva like a ghost, he couldn't help but exclaim, because it was really difficult to suppress his inner shock.

Who was so cruel? Who could have such great powers that he had defeated the servants beside the Buddha to the mortal world, and he had not escaped this disaster for hundreds of years!

The young man in white is naturally Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. The most noble existence that should have practiced Buddha in the Western Paradise, and the Great Truth Bodhisattva who should have enjoyed incense on Mount Emei actually appeared on this snow field, in the Rashlunpo Monastery of the Gelug Sect.

The boy in white smiled slightly, but the flesh on his face seemed to have become stiff. The corners of his lips were touched, but he couldn't show a smile, which made people feel a little miserable. It was just that the smile in his bright eyes comforted Ye Xiangseng.

Ye Xiangseng squatted in front of his small bed and said softly: "Senior brother, why haven't you returned yet?"

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva in white shook his head, gently took back his dry hand, and pointed at Yi Tianxing: "I can't get it back, but the matter has not been explained clearly, how can I get it back?"

Yi Tianxing was a little nervous, but his face was calm.

"Does this young good teacher have some time to listen to me about something?"

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva asked softly, with a faint compassion and incomparable firmness on his scarred face, and the Buddha's light appeared slightly, and it was soft.

Yi Tianxing knelt in front of the Bodhisattva and said respectfully: "Please enlighten the Bodhisattva."

Ye Xiangseng glanced at the two of them, gently left the bed, and sat cross-legged beside Yi Tianxing.

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva laughed and said, "You left and right, I haven't sat like this for many years." He seemed extremely happy. At this time, he looked at his mottled face and didn't feel that it was terrifying. Instead, he felt a sense of perseverance that seemed to have accumulated tens of millions of years.

Ye Xiangseng's tears were dry, and he smiled and nodded.

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva turned around, stretched out his withered hands, and gently sang in front of him: "Young good teacher, I don't have much time. Now there is a passage of scripture and an old news that I want to tell you. Which one do you want to listen to first?"

Yi Tianxing was stunned and a thought flashed through his mind.

"After all the Bodhisattvas are Bodhisattvas, they have become so miserable, and they are so gentle and speak so slowly..."

Suddenly he woke up, he quickly stopped thinking and responded sincerely: "Let me listen to the Bodhisattva's story first."

Old news is the story.

This story must be not simple. It can make a Bodhisattva persist in the dangerous environment for so many years.

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's voice was very calm, but it made the person who heard it feel a powerful vow to break through stone and crack gold.

Yi Tianxing secretly clenched his hands, and the nervousness he had been suppressing had finally been expressed. He didn't know what the story would tell.

"That day, after the Buddha finished teaching a volume of scriptures, I and Manjushri went back separately. I heard an arhat say that the Great Sage went to Mount Sumeru."

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is straightforward and does not make any words.

"The Great Sage returned from his journey to the sutra and became a Buddha, but he was not happy to be a daily lecture and recite the Buddha's name, so he still played and ate wine as before. Although Mount Sumeru is a holy place, he also thought that we Bodhisattvas were boring and disgusting, but after all, they were acquaintances. He often came to find us to play... Because there was an orchard behind Mount Sumeru, and the peaches in the Taoyuan Garden in Tiangong were eaten up by him in the early years, he liked to come to this orchard on Mount Sumeru to pick some fresh fruits to eat. So I was not surprised to hear him coming."

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva sighed and continued, "I went to the orchard to invite the Great Sage. Outside the orchard, I listened to him talking to the Buddha. I didn't know what he said. The Buddha sighed, and then the Great Sage smiled and held the fruit out of the clothes. I went up to meet him, and the two went to talk about gossip in the vegetarian vegetarian..." Speaking of this, the Bodhisattva's eyes condensed by the resolute divine light looked upwards, as if he was still a little confused until today.

"A few days after this incident, I suddenly heard that the Great Sage committed the two sins of ignorance and anger and was demoted to the mortal world."

The wound on Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's face was slightly distorted: "The day before yesterday, the Buddha and the Great Sage were smiling gently in the orchard, but a few days later, he demoted the Great Sage to the mortal world. This matter is incomprehensible."

"The Great Sage has a lot of friendship in Mount Sumeru. We are all his friends. We know very well that the monkey is born with a pure heart, and has entered Buddhism, suppressed evil and promoted good, and returned to the original state. We have long eliminated the path of ignorance and anger, so how could we commit the two sins of ignorance and anger?"

"So I, Manjushri, Guanyin Master and Sandalwood Merit Buddha, went to the Buddha's residence to inquire."

He looked at Yi Tianxing and explained: "The Buddha of Sandalwood Merit is the second disciple of the Buddha."

Yi Tianxing nodded quickly: "I know, we usually call him Tang Monk in the mortal world."

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva continued, "I didn't expect that when we asked, the Buddha just smiled slightly and did not answer. The Buddha is the supreme existence of great freedom and great wisdom. Every movement and action have wonderful things. Several of us ginseng did not get the result. Naturally, we thought that this might be another blessing for the great saint, so we naturally did not care about it. We went to meditate and meditate, and only wanted to find the result with the place where there was no chance."

"Unexpectedly, it was several years later." Samantabhadra Bodhisattva frowned slightly, and his withered right hand subconsciously swung gently in the air: "A thing happened on Mount Sumeru."

Yi Tianxing vaguely guessed what that thing was. This matter had been lingering in his heart for a long time, but he had never heard from the person involved in his own confirmation, so he was still a little worried.

"The Buddha is gone."

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva said this, and said it calmly, but this fact is as heavy as a thousand pounds.

Yi Tianxing lowered his head slightly and did not interrupt. He knew that there were many stories behind him.

"No one knows where the Buddha went, and no one even believes that the Buddha is no longer on Mount Sumeru, but just thinks that the Buddha may be thinking about certain issues."

"Because since the Great Sage spoke to him in the orchard once, the Buddha's thoughts began to change somewhat subtly from usual. After the Great Sage was demoted to the mortal world, the Buddha stopped the preaching meeting and began to meditate in the orchard behind Mount Sumeru. The Buddha's sons and arhats often smiled at the fruit trees."

"So when everyone found that the Buddha was missing, they didn't feel anything. They just thought that the Buddha was touched as usual for thousands of years, and began to think about certain issues."

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva smiled: "But I am different from Manjushri. We are both servants who serve the Buddha on the side and side. On Mount Sumeru, we cannot sense the Buddha's breath at all. This is something that has never happened in thousands of years."

"So, we think that the Buddha has left Mount Sumeru, so we went to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss to search, but the three Pure Land Buddhas do not know where the Buddha went."

"We went to the underworld again to find the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva who used great vows to save all sinners, but the Buddha never came."

"We are looking for the six days of the desire realm, and the four Brahmas are gone."

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva looked at Ye Xiangseng and asked softly: "Do you still remember that time?"

Ye Xiangseng shook his head in distress.

Samantabhadra sighed and continued:

"We searched for thirty-three days, and found nothing in all directions... Finally we came to the world."

"The Dharma is boundless and immortal. The Buddha must be in this world and will never see it for thirty-three days. That must be reborn in the human world."

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva stared at Yi Tianxing coldly.

Yi Tianxing shuddered.

"So I came to the human world, and Manjushri went to report to the Pure Land... At that time, I thought that the Buddha would be able to find it immediately, and he was happy with all his heart... I never expected that the funeral would be so bumpy."

Samantabhadra sighed.

"The human world is the foundation of this universe. There is a law that Bodhisattvas walk on the human world. Can good teachers know it?"

"I know that Bodhisattvas cannot walk in their true body when they walk in their real body. If they walk in their true body, the treasure statue is solemn and beautiful, they will lure believers into the mountain gate. This is done by external demons and is not followed by the Buddha's path." Yi Tianxing responded respectfully.

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva nodded, and his withered and yellow hair covered his scarred forehead again. Ye Xiangseng waved his hand gently, and the wind blew his hair behind his ears.

"I have found some of my cultivation. I am walking in this world with my body looking for the original works of Buddha. After several years, I have been walking through snowy areas, mountains, mountains, mountains, mountains, and oceans, and still have nothing to gain. When I was calm and shaken, there was a strange sign from the sky that caused me to be seriously injured and unable to recover."

"Who is it?" Yi Tianxing's heart tightened, knowing that the person who took action must have nothing to do with the Buddha's disappearance.

"There are three Pure Lands of Ultimate Bliss: Amitabha Buddha's Pure Land, Maitreya Pure Land, Medicine Buddha's Pure Land, and the closest Pure Land to Mount Sumeru. The most closely related to the world is Amitabha Buddha's Pure Land." Samantabhadra Bodhisattva did not directly answer his question: "Do you know who are the two Bodhisattvas beside Amitabha Buddha?"

Yi Tianxing vaguely remembers that the Sectarian Book of Pure Land Sect once recorded: The Buddha is the present Buddha, and Amitabha Buddha is the future Buddha.

According to legend, Amitabha Buddha is the leader of the Western Paradise. On his left is Guanyin Bodhisattva and on the right is Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva. This is the so-called "Three Saints of the West".

Yi Tianxing moaned from the bottom of his heart, knowing that if he participated in this matter, he would definitely meet two Bodhisattvas whom he could not beat for eight hundred years. Even so, seeing the miserable appearance of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, he still had some resentment towards the two Bodhisattvas who were in danger.

"Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva." The young man then argued: "How can the mercy of Guanyin be related to this matter?"

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva closed his eyes slightly and said softly: "That day I was walking under the snow mountain with my body. The sky shone light, and the Pure Land flew out of the Bodhisattva's head bottle. Without saying a word, I came with supernatural powers. I felt anger for a moment, and I was seriously injured and my body was destroyed."

"The Bodhisattva in the top bottle?" Yi Tianxing knew that this must be the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta beside Amitabha Buddha. Once he knew that it was not the black hand of Guanyin, for some reason, he was very happy. Perhaps all mortals in this world were willing to regard Guanyin as a compassionate and holy existence.

Among the five great bodhisattvas, the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta is the least famous.

In the legend of believers on earth, Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta and Guanyin Bodhisattva are the hostess beside Amitabha Buddha, the supreme Pure Land. If the Buddha is the master of Buddhism in our world, Manjushri and Samantabhadra will be the orderly successors to replace the Buddha's position in the future, then Amitabha Buddha is the master of Buddhism in the future world, and Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta and Guanyin Bodhisattva are the second generation successors of Amitabha Buddha.

The two holy saints of Mahasthamaprapta and Amitabha, Amitabha, have a profound origin. Before Amitabha became a Buddha, he was once a servant of Amitabha with Amitabha Bodhisattva. In the future, he would also become a Buddha after Amitabha Bodhisattva, called the Buddha of the Good Abide and Merit Treasure King.

Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta can also be called Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta. Whenever this Bodhisattva takes one step, six kinds of vibrations occur in the entire three thousand worlds. This is why he is called Bodhisattva "Get Great Strategy".

His position is so respectful and his supernatural powers are so extraordinary. He attacked Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, who was walking on earth with an ordinary body. No wonder he succeeded in one blow and seriously injured Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.

Yi Tianxing thought in his heart, no wonder this great Bodhisattva has no reputation in the mortal world. He turns out to be the top killer of Buddhism. He must have to walk in the darkness.
