Chapter 534 Heart Sutra
Chapter 534 ·Heart Sutra
Guangli's voice was very calm, and there was no ups and downs in his tone. It sounded very uncomfortable at first, and it felt like he was holding his breath. But if he listened for a long time, he would feel very pleasant, as if listening to his voice alone could calm his heart down quickly.
The Heart Sutra was retrieved and translated by Xuanzang, a monk from the Tang Dynasty, traveled thousands of miles westward and passed by Lanta Temple. The scriptures are not long, but the content is all-encompassing and profound. Guangli’s Buddhist teachings are exquisite and telling them very well. Many pilgrims’ problems that were vague and ununderstood before were solved by his calm and unpredictable narration. This made everyone’s eyes different when they looked at him.
It took me nearly an hour in total, and the sun at noon had risen to the sky, and the Guangli scriptures also ended.
Everyone couldn't help but praise, "It is worthy of being the first disciple of Zen Master Zhengding, and his experience in Buddhism is different. In the Heart Sutra, other temples also say that Lingyin Temple has Lingyin Temple, Faxi Temple has Faxi Temple, and Hanshan Temple and Jing'an Temple are different explanations, but after hearing so much, no one is as good as Zen Master Guangli. I am truly a great monk, and I have not come in vain this time."
This is a great compliment, which is in sharp contrast to the previous dislike and boycott of everyone.
Mrs. Tang also told Mrs. Zhang and Mrs. Ding, "This Zen Master Guangli has a unique insight into the Heart Sutra. It is not only easy to tell, but also stop when it is clicked. Unlike other temples, you must say that you nod and accept it. You must know that Buddhism is vast, just like a mirror. Different people stand in front of different mirrors and have different imaging. How can it be uniform? Zen Master Guangli can think of this and his understanding is already much higher than others."
Mrs. Zhang nodded repeatedly, "There is Zhengding in Jingci Temple, and other monks cannot be named. Moreover, most of the people in the temple are of no desire or demand, and if they were not relying on Zhengding's reputation, they would have been afraid that even the incense would be cut off."
Mrs. Ding also said, "I think after Zen Master Zhengding passed away for a hundred years, most of the abbots in the temple will rely on Guangli to be the one who is responsible for it."
Everyone whispered, but Tang was not interested and yawned with a veil covering his face.
After getting up early and sitting here for a long time, she would have fallen asleep long ago. If it weren't for the wrong occasion, she would have fallen asleep.
Bai Rongxuan gently held her mother's hand and smiled and said in her ear, "Hold on for a while, it would be too embarrassing if you fall asleep at this time."
Tang smiled and said, "Don't worry, I still understand this."
After Guangli's scriptures were finished, it seemed that it was getting late, so he asked the little novice monk to take the pilgrims to the vegetarian hall for lunch and had a tea party in the afternoon. Everyone talked about the scriptures while drinking tea. If you don't understand anything, you can also propose it for everyone to discuss it together.
This is a very humble statement.
The pilgrims had long been impressed by his Buddhism and were naturally very respectful and polite to him. They agreed with a smile. Guangli clasped his hands to everyone and bowed, then turned around and left lightly.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and began to walk outside the hall gate in groups of three or three.
Most of these pilgrims are female relatives in charge of family affairs. It is rare to be able to come out and listen to the scriptures peacefully for the whole morning. Some people who have affairs at home cannot attend the afternoon tea party. Unfortunately, they say goodbye to their companions and get on a carriage and leave Jingci Temple.
But perhaps Guangli's slow story was too shocking, and there were quite a few people who stayed there. Everyone rushed into the dining hall and soon lost their place to step on.
Mrs. Tang and others stood at the gate of the dining hall, and for a moment they felt a sense of embarrassment that they were not not allowed to enter or were embarrassed.
Mrs. Zhang said, "If you wait outside for a while, there is nothing to eat in this vegetarian vegetarian food. I guess someone will finish it soon. We will go in at that time so we won't be crowded with people."
Mrs. Tang was about to nod, but Mrs. Ding, who was beside her, said, "Don't wait, I don't know when it will be. You can wait for me here for a while..."
As he said that, he walked quickly to the side without waiting for everyone to agree.
Bai Rongxuan saw her walking to a little novice monk, and didn't know what she said to him, so the little novice monk took her away.
Mrs. Zhang didn't know what Mrs. Ding was trying to do, and saw that she was so excited, she said to Mrs. Tang with some embarrassment, "I don't know what happened to this Mrs. Ding. I didn't see her so angry on weekdays."
Mrs. Tang smiled, "Maybe something is wrong, we just wait here with peace of mind." She asked Zhang Yunniang lovingly, "Are you exhausted when you sit with us all morning?"
Zhang Yunniang blushed and shook her head, "No."
After answering only one sentence, the following text was gone. Mrs. Zhang shook her head helplessly.
Tang Xueping wisely remedyed, "Although the tone of this Zen Master Guangli was so calm that there was no turbulence, after listening for a long time, I felt very peaceful inside, and my understanding of the scriptures was different, which sounded very interesting."
When Tang Xueping was a girl in the Tang family, she rarely came to the temple with her elders. Today, she was also a strong request from Mrs. Zhang. How could her new daughter-in-law refuse her mother-in-law's kindness? So she came with a bit of the bullet and was just to be a companion for her sister-in-law.
Unexpectedly, I listened with relish and didn’t even have time to get distracted in the middle.
Mrs. Tang heard the novelty in her tone and said with a smile, "In the past, you wouldn't be willing to come no matter how you discussed it. Today, I am obedient. It can be seen that my mother-in-law's words are effective..."
When she joked like this, everyone laughed.
Tang Xueping blushed and said embarrassedly, "Grandmother wants to come to the temple again in the future, I will definitely be with you."
Mrs. Tang said, "I don't need you to accompany my married daughter to splash water from the water. I have Rongxuan and Xueru. Just serve my mother-in-law."
Tang Xueping's face turned redder.
Mrs. Zhang was afraid that his wife would be short of face, so she hurriedly said, "The old lady wants to come to the temple just to send me a message, so I am naturally willing to come. It just so happens that she can go out and relax, isn't it better than locking in a square yard?"
Everyone was telling a joke, when a small novice monk came over and asked in a low voice, "How many donors are Mrs. Ding's friends?"
Mrs. Zhang nodded, "That's right, is something wrong?"
He was a little uneasy and thought something had happened to Mrs. Ding.
"Please be calm if you don't want to worry, don't worry." Xiao Shami said calmly, "Please come with me."
The group looked confused, and Mrs. Zhang asked, "What's wrong with Mrs. Ding? You should make it clear."
The little novice shook his head, still looking slow, "You will know when you come with me." He said that, and turned around and left, no longer giving everyone a chance to ask more questions.
Mrs. Zhang stomped her feet in anger, "What's wrong with the monks from Jingci Temple? Could it be that this little novice monk is Guangli's apprentice? Why are they all so calm?"
Mrs. Tang said, "Since Mrs. Ding invited him, it must not be important. Let's go over and take a look."
Mrs. Zhang agreed, and several people followed lightly.
As Xiao Sha Mi passed through two doors, there were a group of monks in front of her. The courtyard was neat and clean, and with the Buddha fragrance floating around, the anxious heart could quickly calm down.
Bai Rongxuan thought to herself - No wonder people like to live in temples and practice for a while. After living in this environment for a while, no matter how many worries you have, they will be wiped out.
