43, Chapter 43(2/2)

Huo Ran never mentioned what happened before, and he didn't dare to ask. The two of them followed the news broadcast and focus interviews all the way down, chatting casually while eating.

After the bottle of wine was gone, Huo Ran stopped using his chopsticks, stood up, drank a glass of water, and sat on the sofa: "You can clean it up, okay?"

"Yes." Kou Chen nodded.

Of course he can't clear the table. He usually waits for his father to stack all the dishes before he picks them up and goes into the kitchen. Loading the dishes into the dishwasher is his strength.

However, Huo Ran kept staring at the TV and didn't look in his direction. He didn't notice that he almost threw several bowls on the floor when he entered the kitchen.

"Put it there." Huo Ran said.

"There is a dishwasher." Kou Chen saw that there was a dishwasher in the kitchen, so he insisted on putting all the dishes away and turned on the machine before coming out.

Huo Ran was looking at it on his mobile phone.

"Who are you talking to?" Kou Chen fell next to him and nestled into the sofa.

"My eldest uncle." Huo Ran said.

Kou Chen was stunned for a moment, then immediately turned his head: "What?"

"Apologizing," Huo Ran frowned and threw the phone on the coffee table, "I don't even want to say it anymore, can't I stop mentioning it?"

Kou Chen didn't care about education or privacy anymore. Like a dog with a bone in his mouth, he followed the phone to the coffee table and saw the chat content.

-I apologize to you on behalf of your aunt. We all know that what happened to your brother was an accident.

Below is a line of words that Huo Ran typed but did not send.

-I don’t want to hear it anymore, can you just stop talking?

Kou Chen froze where he was. It wasn't until his phone screen went black that he turned his head and asked softly: "Your brother..."

Halfway through the question, he shut his mouth abruptly, remembering the words Huo Ran didn't say, and he didn't want to hear or speak anymore.

Kou Chen felt that his IQ might not be too full.

However, Huo Ran didn't get angry or react too much, and his voice was quite calm: "It's okay, just ask me if I'm depressed."

"Oh." Kou Chen breathed a sigh of relief, sat back on the sofa, and put his arms around Huo Ran's shoulders.

"I don't remember anything, it's what they said," Huo Ran stared at the TV, "that I had a younger brother who died before he was one year old."

Kou Chen didn't move or make a sound.

"I fell from my grandma's bed," Huo Ran said. "My mother said it was an accident. She felt particularly uncomfortable when she mentioned it, but they also said it behind their backs. Whoever wants to have a second child will tell them. Look at Huo Ran.

, pushed his brother out of bed and fell to death..."

Huo Ran tried his best to control his voice, but he still trembled a little when he spoke later.

"Fuck." Kou Chen was a little shocked and couldn't say anything else for a while.

"They were obviously there and knew that I was asleep when I entered the house," Huo Ran said in a cold voice, "Or maybe it's because of me. Maybe saying this makes them feel happy, and it makes them more attractive when talking to others.

After all, the person who died was not his own child."

"Stop talking." Kou Chen tightened his arms.

Huo Ran said before that he fell into a ditch when he went to the wild with Huo's father. Huo's mother almost divorced Huo's father because of this. At the time, he didn't quite understand whether it was such an exaggeration.

Now I understand.

They have already lost a child.

"This is something I don't know about at all, this younger brother I don't remember at all," Huo Ran said. "In their eyes, it's just talk. No matter how grandma says not to mention it or scare me, it's useless. After I was four or five years old,

, I didn’t hear what they said.”

Kou Chen didn't know what to say, so he hugged him and rubbed his arms hard.

Scared?

Huo Ran is so afraid of dark rooms and ghosts...

"My aunt said that if a child doesn't remember things, just don't mention it in the future. He won't remember." Huo Ran said.

"How is it possible? I was four or five years old when I was poked on the railing. I remember it clearly," Kou Chen said. "Is it because your aunt's IQ is not very good, or your cousin's IQ is not high, so I think others can't remember it."

"

Huo Ran glanced at him, the corners of his mouth curled up for a moment, and then he couldn't help but laugh: "Can you not mention the fact that you were poked on the railing at this time?"

"I'll just give you a chestnut." Kou Chen raised his hand while squeezing his fingers.

"Do you want to eat chestnuts?" Huo Ran suddenly said, "The back door family roasts chestnuts. Just make a phone call and they will deliver them. They taste pretty good."

"Okay." Kou Chen responded immediately.

Huo Ran took the phone and turned on the screen. The first thing that appeared was the previous dialog box. He clicked send and sent the sentence that he had not sent before. Then he blocked his eldest uncle, exited smoothly, and clicked on

I checked the phone book, dialed the number for roasted chestnuts, and ordered two bags of roasted chestnuts with sugar and two cups of hot chocolate milk.

"Have you blocked him?" Kou Chen asked.

"Well, I've blocked several of our relatives," Huo Ran said. "I'll block anyone who makes me unhappy."

Kou Chen smiled.

"If you hadn't stopped me today, I might have beaten my aunt. It was so sudden, I was so angry that I wanted to explode," Huo Ran said. "My dad probably didn't expect that she could suddenly say this, otherwise he wouldn't

Let me get it."

"My main reason is... you feel so uncomfortable, you even... cried," Kou Chen said a little embarrassed, and he didn't know why he was embarrassed, "I..."

"When did I cry?" Huo Ran said.

"Huh?" Kou Chen was stunned for a moment, not understanding why he asked, but he quickly recalled, "It must have been when I pushed you into the alley. At that time, you suddenly stopped cursing, and you must have been crying.

"

"Yes," Huo Ran nodded, "I'm crying because I'm angry, not because I feel uncomfortable."

"Angry?" Kou Chen was stunned again.

"When you were very angry and wanted to beat someone up and slap them on the ears," Huo Ran looked at him, "suddenly a man carried you and ran away. He ran eight hundred miles away. Are you angry?

?”

"...Holy shit!" Kou Chen realized at this moment, "Are you really lying? I really... feel bad for you. I don't want you to stay there anymore. You know, I was so special at that time

I'm sorry, if I hadn't carried that idiot nephew of yours, I wouldn't have let your aunt say such a thing..."

"I don't know if she took the wrong medicine today. It was probably you..." Huo Ran looked him up and down and said with a smile, "Fuck, you looked like a gangster when you were at her house today."

"That's what I do when I'm angry," Kou Chen said. "I was very angry at the time. Your cousin hasn't finished his yin and yang. If you say something like he picked it up, I'll slap him in the face on the spot."

"My biological child has such good inheritance, how could he be picked up?" Huo Ran said.

Kou Chen paused and laughed.

Huo Ran first made a couple of hey noises, and then he leaned on the sofa and laughed for a long time.

"Kou Chen." Huo Ran called him after he finished laughing.

"Huh?" Kou Chen tilted his head.

"Come." Huo Ran said.

"What are you here for?" Kou Chen didn't wait for his answer after asking, and immediately pouted, "Is it Bo'er alone?"

"Are you a Bobo'er monster?" Huo Ran smiled and sat upright, hugged him sideways, and squeezed him tightly, "Kou Chen, thank you, thank you very much. You don't have to worry, I usually can't think about this.

stand up."

After saying that, he hugged Kou Chen for a long time before letting go of his arms, and kissed Kou Chen hard on the forehead: "mua!"
