Chapter 4 The Empty House

When he arrived at the door, Pei Ye tapped the beast ring lightly, and then he remembered to look down at his image. He couldn't help laughing. But when he was practicing boxing, he was more embarrassed than when he was in such a mess, so it would be okay to give Uncle Lin a joke.

After laughing, I raised my head and waited quietly, but time passed by minute by minute, and no one came to answer for a long time.

Uncle Lin is good at doing everything himself, so there are no servants like a gangster and a groom in the house, but based on the keenness of his five senses, he should be able to hear it.

Pei Ye knocked several times, but seeing that he had never answered, he simply jumped over the courtyard wall and came to Lin Lin's bedroom. He saw a candlelight passing through the heavy rain curtain.

Uncle Lin didn’t sleep? Why didn’t he come to answer the door?

Pei Ye frowned and walked over, but the bedroom door was open outside. Pei Ye gently knocked on the door frame: "Uncle Lin?"

However, no one answered in the room. Pei Ye looked at it and saw that there was no one.

Her eyebrows were frowning even harder. Pei Ye walked into the room and saw the quilt lifted up. The candlelight in front of the bed was lit. He lowered his head and did not wear shoes in front of the bed.

But when he turned his head, there was only one scabbard left on the head of the bed.

When his heart tightened, Pei Ye looked around and found that the flint was placed far away. The candlelight in front of the bed was obviously lit by Lin Lin with his true energy.

Pei Ye could almost imagine the scene where he suddenly woke up, ignited the fire with his fingers, and then drew his sword and rushed out.

What's so urgent?

As soon as this question came to my mind, an answer that made his heart beat faster and blurted out: "Lin Jue!"

Lin Lin lost his wife in his early years and only had a daughter, who was very beloved. The girl was named Lin Jue, who was about the same age as Pei Ye, and was quite gentle and lively, but her left arm was born with a congenital disability. There was only one piece of meat on the hand, which was very distressing.

He still remembered Lin Lin said that if Lin Jue was not incomplete, he would be a top martial arts seedling.

Now that she thought of this possibility, Pei Ye didn't care about the defense of men and women, and rushed to Lin Jue's room, but her heart sank - Lin Jue's door was also open to the outside hole, and there was no candle in the room.

Pei Li lit the candlelight in the room, and there was no one in the room. The girl's quilt was lifted and her shoes were placed in front of the bed.

Lin Lin may have heard some evil sound in the middle of the night, so he grabbed the knife and stood up to check it out, but a 17-year-old girl was awakened by a terrifying sound in her sleep. Will she lift the quilt and look for it?

So the root cause lies in Lin Jue. She went out for some reason, but Lin Lin was sensitive and heard something was wrong, so she stood up to save her daughter.

Then why did Lin Jue push the door barefoot out in a slut in an underwear?

A sense of familiarity suddenly surged into my mind. Pei Ye lowered his head. Isn’t this the same as... myself?

Jueli climbed all the way from the tail vertebra to Tianling, and Pei Li shivered.

What's going on?

Pei Ye wanted to ask Lao Xiangzi carefully and study the source of the fire talisman on his forehead, but Lin Lin's family was in trouble and had no time to take care of it. Pei Ye ran back to Lin Lin's room, turned over a sword, and took the heavy weight. He felt a little relieved. Pei Ye tried hard to identify the blurry traces and searched for the two of them.

Lin Jue's footprints only extended a short distance outside the door, and then the ground turned into a man's boot seal, which was obviously abducted. It was still four or five feet away from the wall, but the man jumped up flat with Lin Jue in his arms, and then he stepped outside the courtyard wall, followed by Lin Lin's footprints.

Pei Ye also turned over the courtyard wall, but outside the wall was a field. At this time, the water flowed turbulently, the soil was soft and the view was blocked by crops, so it was too difficult to follow.

Although Pei Ye was anxious, he tried to calmly think: Since Lin Jue and he were sleepwalking out, is the end of the trip the same? He had just left the north gate of the city, and Lin Jue might have also headed to the north of the city.

Following this general direction, searching for traces bit by bit. After a long time, I finally found a path to head north. Pei Ye walked along the trace and left the fields and the fields were river beaches. The footprints here were much more obvious. Both of them flew across the river. Pei Ye had no ability and leaned over and swam past.

After crossing the river, the plain was getting more and more obvious, but a phenomenon that made Pei Ye feel uneasy also emerged: the captive was still in a uniform way, and it seemed to have plenty of strength. Lin Lin was in love with his beloved daughter, and his footprints could be seen as urgent, but he was still thrown away evenly as he tried his best to catch up.

Pei's liquid had no true energy, and he could only rely on his legs to rush in the rainy field, which was much slower than the two of them.

Finally, it was approaching Mao's hour, the rain became weaker, and the rooster crowed, and Pei Ye came to a forest, and traces disappeared here.

The forest was silent, there was no sound of fighting, and a faint smell of blood came into the nostrils.

Pei Ye held the hilt of the sword and walked slowly in.

The woods were not large, so there was no time for Pei Ye to prepare. A bloody corpse crashed into his eyes.

It's Lin Lin.

The scene was empty.

Pei Ye came to the corpse, and a sheathless steel knife fell next to it. It was the one that Lin Lin Chang Pei, and there was no blood on the blade.

The face that was not angry and powerful was pale and twisted to a little strange, with red eyes and bursting, and there were two tears on the cheeks. The remaining expression seemed to be anxious, angry, and unbelievable, but more painful.

Pei Ye was silent on this face for a few breaths, pursing his lips and looking down.

Lin Lin was wearing a white bedclothes and was stained with blood. There were nine claw marks on his left and right arms, chest, abdomen, and legs. Some were cut and some were stabbed. The fatal point was in his neck, and two huge blood holes were left there.

Pei Yu squatted down slowly and examined the wounds.

The wolf and leopard's minions are not so sharp or so long. The tiger's teeth can leave this bite mark, but it is also not used to fighting with its claws. These beasts hold their prey and bite it to death. They will not leave so many claw marks, and there are no hair left behind.

More importantly, even if there are five tigers, they will not be Uncle Lin’s opponent.

Maybe... there are no wild beasts. Some strange weapons in the world are sharp claws that can be worn on your hands.

But Pei Yi quickly denied this speculation, not only because of the real bite marks on the neck, but also the hard-to-discern claws on the ground.

Pei Ye pushed away Lin Lin's clothes with a heavy expression, and a black palm print appeared on his chest and abdomen, half of which had been cut by claw marks.

Pei Ye's complexion changed, and he gently pressed his palm print, and the bones and flesh below were as soft as mud.

Uncle Lin first encountered the beast. This palm broke his four ribs and his internal organs were almost broken. If he really faced the tiger, he would probably be powerless to fight.

A very thick and vicious palm.
