Yantu Zengqi Baikomachang

The sunset of Temple Bell Mountain,

A niche still worships King Zhang,

Wuzhong flowers and plants pity the scorched earth,

The wind and clouds on the sea remember their hometown;

The domineering has been eliminated by Huang Caiye,

The salt disciple once set off on the white horse field,

The pedestrians take the spring spring to lay down,

I suspect the fragrance of the imperial wine back then.

This is a portrayal of Zhang Shicheng's life. Xiao Jing still has a good impression of this person. It happened that Xiao Jing took advantage of the holiday to visit Suzhou and made a special trip to worship this hero of the late Yuan Dynasty. However, when he walked to the front of the Zhangwang Palace, he saw the statue of Zhangwang in the hall. The front one was a dragon's eye-catching figure, wearing a dragon's robe, wearing a jade belt, holding a paper fan, holding a majestic posture, and majestic. The statue behind the statue was on the brick platform, with the same appearance as the previous one, which was a "sitting statue". The statue behind the brick platform is the same as the one behind, which is a "sitting statue".

There are three female statues higher up, including the three concubines of King Zhang - Concubine Liu, Concubine Guo, and Concubine Liang. The whole temple is very large, but the scene I saw really surprised me. A few days ago, although it was not the May Day holiday, there were few tourists in Suzhou, but there were many tourists in front of the King Zhang Temple, which was extremely lively. Many tourists were bowing to the statue of Zhang Shicheng, which immediately surprised me and said to myself: "Isn't this guy a thief? Why are so many people coming to pay tribute!"

Just when I was surprised, a tourist happened to be by my side. He couldn't help but be curious, so he stepped forward to ask. Only then did he realize that they were college students in Jiangsu and studied in the history department. During these days, he happened to see this history while studying. He admired this former hero very much and came to pay special attention to it. After saying that, he ignored me and pressed the shutter frequently with the camera in his hand. For a moment, the lightning flashed in the temple.

While these wanderers were taking photos, I watched the temple happily, but I saw a stone tablet behind the temple. The stone tablet was about 4 to 5m high and about 2 meters wide. When I saw such a large stone tablet, I was curious and couldn't help but look up. I saw that the life story of this former hero was engraved in the main characters. I was lucky enough to note it here so that all book friends can see the demeanor of this former hero.

Zhang Shicheng, the nickname Jiusi, is from Taizhou. Since his youth, he has been a miscellaneous type of accounting for local salt farms, which can damage public and private property. He has made his three younger brothers live in boats and transport salt through relationships, and smuggling and selling salt. This nature is the same as the current police station director asks relatives to open a dance hall and hold a foot room. It is not a big evil, but has no professional "morality". Of course, salt and iron have always been the state's strict control of products in feudal society. As a result, the profit is quite abundant. With money in his hands, Zhang Shicheng naturally cares about money and is very fond of giving, just like Song Jiang, the "timely rain" in "Water Margin", which has won the favor of the local people. In terms of character, Zhang Shicheng was one of the best "good people" among the heroes at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. He is not treacherous, can tolerate people and treat scholars with courtesy, but in troubled times, he has a very fake. Since he does not have the "spirit" to kill his wife and children, he will not endure the day of "final victory".

Because the Zhang brothers were insulted during the sale of salt to wealthy families near Shouzhou, many wealthy families still owed money and refused to pay it. In addition, a security guard (archer) in the salt field, Qiu Yi insulted Zhang Shicheng when he had nothing to do, which made the Zhang brothers suddenly feel murderous. Just at that time, the world was in chaos, so they made it easier for them to suddenly raise anger in the summer of the 13th year of Zhizheng in Emperor Shun of Yuan Dynasty (1353). In addition, Zhang Shicheng and his three younger brothers, and a hero named Li Bosheng, there were only eighteen people in a group at that time. When the incident was launched, they had no lofty ideals and just killed people to vent their anger.

That's all. Just a dozen people rushed into the Salt Field Security Room security room and chopped the archer Qiu Yi to death, then destroyed all the wealthy families around them, setting fire to burn many large mansions. Because the life of the Salt Field Factory was extremely difficult and had a deep revenge, they saw that someone took the lead in provoking trouble, they signed up to join, and recommended Zhang Shicheng as the main part. More than a hundred people gathered together and "conquered" Taizhou in an instant. Then, he destroyed Xinghua and occupied the important town of Gaoyou. Victory was so easy, so Zhang Shicheng called himself "King Cheng" and the country was called "Da Zhou", and began to become addicted to becoming a king.

The next year, Zhang Shicheng was very popular. Tuotuo, the prime minister of the Yuan Dynasty, personally led a million troops to attack and surrounded Gaoyou. At that time, Zhang Shicheng called Tian Wuling and did not respond. He regretted that his intestines were green and even slapped himself in the mouth and blamed himself for causing trouble. The worst thing was that he couldn't afford to surrender. Tuotuo was determined to capture Gaoyou and wanted to slaughter all the local soldiers and civilians to show his warning in Jiangnan. People's calculations were not as good as heaven's calculations. Tuotuo was plotted by treacherous ministers in the court. Emperor Shun of Yuan Dynasty dismissed him on the spot and took him to Tubo, and was sentenced to poison wine halfway. As for the "million army", the stars were scattered for a while, and Zhang Shicheng could finally escape from Tian, and led a group of people to escape from Gaoyou as a bandit.

Under the "revolutionary" situation of chaos in the world, Zhang Shicheng quickly made a comeback and quickly occupied the two most prosperous towns in Changshu and Pingjiang, Jiangnan. Pingjiang is Suzhou, Granary, Yicang, Qiancang, and a real place of wealth. Then, Zhang Shicheng's power developed extremely rapidly. Huzhou, Hangzhou, Zhuquan (Zhuji), Shaoxing, Yixing, Changzhou, Gaoyou, Huai'an, Xuzhou, Suzhou, Sizhou and Emperor Zhu's hometown Haozhou were all occupied by him. Liu Futong, such a brave man, was surrounded by Lu Zhen, the general under Zhang Shicheng, in Anfeng (Shou County), and was killed when he went to war. If Zhu Yuanzhang did not come to rescue him, even the King of Ming Han Lin'er would be captured alive by Zhang Shicheng's army.

One thing to be clear is that Zhang Shicheng's attack on Han Futong is not an internal strife of the so-called "rebel army". These two people are not the same faction at all.

The heroes in Jiangnan are divided into two major factions, namely the Red Army Group of Liu Futong and Xu Shouhui, and the non-Red Army Group of Zhang Shicheng and Fang Guozhen. The Red Army Group is divided into two factions. The Eastern Sect is nominally dominated by Han Lin'er, the "Little Ming King" and is actually controlled by Liu Futong. Guo Zixing and Zhu Yuanzhang are actually the Eastern Sect Red Army Group, who are exploring everywhere in the Huai River Basin. The Western Sect Red Army includes Xu Sect, Chen Youliang and Ming Yuzhen, who later seized Sichuan. Their activity locations are mainly in the Han River Basin. The "Red Army" usually fights each other to the death, so it is natural to fight against Liu Futong (a defeated bandit who was driven out of Kaifeng). Moreover, Zhang Shicheng's relationship with the Yuan Dynasty was also very fun. When the rebellion was in the court, he even got an official. However, when the Yuan court asked him to send troops to fight against the Red Scarf in Haozhou and other places.

During the army, Lao Zhang was afraid of losing money and refused to let him go, but directly occupied Gaoyou as a self-proclaimed prince. Prime Minister Tuotuo attacked one million times, and Zhang Shicheng was almost caught by the broken knife Lingchi. After the operation, he changed Pingjiang to Longping County, opened Hongwenguan, recruited talents, and started a "virtuous" emperor's business in advance. Later, he was attacked by Yang Wanzhe's troops in the Miao army and the run by Zhu Yuanzhang, Lao Zhang accepted the right side of the Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces of the Yuan Dynasty.

Prime Minister Dashi Timur's "advice" surrendered to the Yuan Dynasty again and became the "Taiwei" of the Yuan Dynasty. He used the tiger's skin to make a big banner. In a few years, Lao Zhang's territory exceeded 2,000 miles in the north, crossed the Jianghuai River in the north, reached Haosi in the west, and reached the sea in the east, and connected to Jiangsu and Zhejiang in the south, just like a country in the south of the Yangtze River. Later, Zhang Shicheng wanted to be the real prince, but the Yuan Dynasty did not agree, so Lao Zhang proclaimed himself the "King of Wu", and basically had a quarrel with the Yuan Dynasty, and even food was not transported to most of the capital.

The conflict between Zhu Yuanzhang and Zhang Shicheng originated from the 16th year of Zhiyuan. Chen Baoer, the leader of the "yellow bag, who had surrendered to Zhu Yuanzhang, suddenly turned against him, arrested the general sent by Zhu Yuanzhang, and surrendered to Zhang Shicheng. At that time, Lao Zhu was busy fighting on the Western Front, and at first he did not dare to make a fuss with Zhang Shicheng. He sent someone to send a letter to flatter Zhang Shicheng with the words "Wei Xiang as the mighty", hoping that the two families would "not have border quarrels". Zhang Shicheng was in charge of many literati, and he also studied and deeply hated Zhu Yuanzhang's letter to compare himself with "Wei Xiang". In this way, Zhu Yuanzhang was "Guangwu of Han" Liu Xiu. Because of these words, Zhang Shicheng withdrew Lao Zhu's envoy and refused to make peace.

So, Zhu Yuanzhang sent general Xu Da to attack Changzhou, and Zhang Shicheng sent his younger brother Zhang Jiuliu to support. Xu Da set up an ambush and captured Zhang Jiuliu alive. "(Zhang) Shicheng captured the county and the county, and (Zhang) Jiuliu had a lot of strength. Since he was captured, (Zhang) Shicheng was disgusted." Soon, Hua Yunlong and other generals defeated Zhang Shicheng, another younger brother Zhang Shixin in the old hall. After a series of defeats, Zhang Shicheng wrote a letter to Zhu Yuanzhang, expressing his willingness to send 500 taels of gold, 300 kilograms of silver and 200,000 shi of food. The two sides made peace. Lao Zhu was unwilling to forgive others after he was right, and he wrote to him again to count his crimes and asked the other party to let him go. As a result, the peace talks were left unresolved.

After several days of besieging Zhu Yuanzhang's army finally regained Changzhou. Xu Da was good at fighting and successfully conquered Changshu. It was in this situation that Lao Zhang was "recruited" by the Yuan Dynasty for the second time.

Enemies are easy to get together but not easy to resolve. In the spring of 1358, Zhu Yuanzhang sent generals Liao Yongan, Yu Tonghai, Sang Shirong and others to "strike" Zhang Shicheng, and sent Deng Yu, Li Wenzhong, Hu Dahai and others to capture Zhang Shicheng's Jiande Road from Xianling Pass in Huizhou. Zhang Shicheng was very upset and sent troops to counterattack Changzhou, and Changshu, but all returned in failure.

The losses in the east were made up for the west. In the autumn of that year, Zhang Shicheng used a trick to kill Yang Wanzhe, the Miao army of the Yuan Dynasty. Yang Wanzhe, a part of the Miao army was a minority army summoned by the Yuan government from Huguang to quell the rebellion in Jiangnan. This Miao army burned, killed, looted, and was extremely vicious. Among all the troops fighting in Jiangnan, the "Tianwan" regime had the best discipline, followed by Liu Futong's Red Turban Army, Zhang Shicheng's army, Zhu Yuanzhang's army, Yuan Dynasty government army, Chen Youliang's army, and the worst was Yang Wanzhe's "Miao army". Therefore, Dashi Timur, a province in Jiangnan in the Yuan Dynasty, secretly agreed with Zhang Shicheng to join forces to kill this arrogant and indiscriminate "Miao army".

The one who killed Yang Shicheng not only eliminated harm for the people and Yuan, but also eliminated harm for Zhu Yuanzhang. Those who killed Yang Wan, Zhang Shicheng quickly occupied two important places in Hangzhou and Jiaxing, and became more unscrupulous and did not take Dashi Timur, an official of the Yuan Dynasty, seriously.

Zhang Shicheng was in a state of excitement and sent troops to attack Changzhou. He was defeated by Tang He, and then lost Yixing. Zhu Yuanzhang's general Liao Yongan took advantage of the victory to enter Taihu Lake and pursued it deeply. Instead, he was arrested by Zhang Shicheng's general Lu Zhen and captured Liao Yongan alive. Zhu Yuanzhang wanted to replace Liao Yongan with the three thousand Zhang Shicheng's soldiers and generals who captured Liao Yongan alone, but Zhang Shicheng refused. He proposed to replace Liao Yongan with his younger brother Zhang Jiuliu (Zhang Shide), but Zhu Yuanzhang refused. He was afraid that Zhang Jiuliu would escape in time to add wings to his brother, so Old Zhu started to kill Zhang Jiuliu first.

In 1359 (the 19th year of Zhizheng in the Yuan Dynasty), Hu Dahai and Li Wenzhong captured Zhujizhou, an important town of Lao Zhang. Zhang Shicheng sent his generals to attack Jiangyin, but was defeated by the defender Wu Liang. "(Zhu Yuanzhang) got Jiangyin, and Shicheng did not dare to go to the river, so he went to Jin (Zhou) and Jiao (Zhou). He was invaded by the way."

After several defeats, Zhang Shicheng was unwilling to accept it. In the autumn of 1359, he still sent people to attack Changzhou and was defeated again. In 1360, he sent troops to invade Zhuquan and kill the defending generals. He also sent general Lu Zhen to Changxing, and was also defeated. In 1361, Zhu Yuanzhang sent Hu Dahai to attack Shaoxing, but failed. In the winter of the same year, Zhang Shicheng's general Li Bosheng led more than 100,000 elite troops to attack Changxing, advancing on both water and land, winning first and then losing. In the end, he was attacked by Zhu Yuanzhang's defending generals Geng Bingwen and Chang Yuchun inside and outside, and left in a panic.

Xiao Tai came too. In the 22nd year of Zhizheng in the Yuan Dynasty, Hu Dahai, the general of Zhu Yuanzhang who guarded Jinhua, was killed by Jiang Ying and Liu Zhen. Jiang Liu and Jiang were originally subordinates of Miao general Yang Wan, and Zhang Shicheng killed Yang Wan, and they surrendered to Zhu Yuanzhang. Hu Dahai was happy and brave and placed under his command, and waited for him without any doubt. The two of them thought of change over time and agreed to a few Miao generals to prepare for the uprising. They invited Hu Dahai to Bayong Tower, Jinhua to watch the crossbow shooting. Lao Hu was very happy and came as promised, wanting to inspect the soldiers to play crossbows. Before he dismounted, Jiang Ying had an iron hammer in his sleeve, smashed Hu Dahai's head, and then killed Hu Dahai's son Hu and several civil and military officials in Jinhua. After the uprising, several people were also afraid and hurriedly sent people to surrender to Zhang Shicheng and plunder Jinhua.

***************************************

Taking advantage of the chaos, Zhang Shicheng sent his brother Zhang Daxin and general Lu Zhen to lead 100,000 troops to surround Zhu Quan. As a result, the guard general Xie Zaixing and Zhu Yuanzhang's nephew Zhu Wenzhong designed the envoy Lu Zhen to divide the troops, and attacked with cannons and guns and other firearms. He defeated the more with few, which made Zhang Shixin run away in a hurry.

In 1363, the angry Zhang Shicheng sent general Lu Zhen to gather 100,000 troops to surround Anfeng and killed Liu Futong, the "revolutionary leader" of the Red Turban Army. Lao Liu worked hard for several years to remove the defilements for Lao Zhu. Zhang Shicheng killed Liu Futong, which was actually a pre-exorcist work for Emperor Zhu. Because Han Lin'er, the nominal "common leader", ran from Anfeng to Chuzhou and was chased by Lu Zhen, Lao Zhu had to rescue him. He personally led Xu Da, Chang Yuchun moved the army and finally defeated Lu Zhen. At that time, he almost shaved his head. If Chen Youliang from the west went straight to Jiankang, Lao Zhu would have finished playing.

Zhu Yuanzhang was sweating coldly when suddenly a bad news came: Zhu Quan's general Xie Zaixing (the father-in-law of Zhu Yuanzhang's nephew Zhu Wenzheng) rebelled and surrendered to Zhang Shicheng.

Xie Zaixing rebelled because Lao Zhu was too harsh on others: In order to make money, Lao Xie secretly sent soldiers to buy things from the bank to Zhang Shicheng from time to time to buy things from Hangzhou occupied by Zhang Shicheng, and brought them back to buy low and sell high. Zhu Yuanzhang was angry and scolded Xie Zaixing and ordered him to be summoned back to Jinling to replace his position. In addition, Xie Zaixing's second daughter was in Jiankang, and Lao Zhu betrothed her to the general Xu Da without saying hello. It was like allocating military supplies, which also made Lao Xie angry. Xie Zaixing knew that Lao Zhu killed people without blinking. In a panic, he killed the governor Luan Feng and led the entire defenders to Shaoxing to surrender to Zhang Shicheng. Soon he led the "Wu" army, who changed the sex of the uniform, to attack Dongyang. Fortunately, Li Wenzhong rushed from Yanzhou after hearing the chaos, and Zhuquan did not have a big leak.

At this time, Lao Zhu was commanding the army on the front line to fight with Chen Youliang and had no time to look east. In the autumn, Zhang Shicheng forced Dashi Timur, the governor of Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province of the Yuan Dynasty to commit suicide (in September of the previous year, he had already called himself "King of Wu"), and was basically independent, but the reign title was still used by the Yuan Dynasty's "Zhizheng".

The prosperous land of Jiangsu and Zhejiang became a gentle place. The Zhang Shicheng tribe in Suzhou and Hangzhou quickly became corrupt from top to bottom. Within a radius of more than 2,000,000 soldiers, and a wealthy land in the world, Lao Zhang had to feel good. Especially when his younger brother Zhang Jiuliu (Shide) was at that time, he had already sent many famous scholars, such as Gao Qi, Yang Ji, Chen Ji, Zhang Yu, Yang Weizhen, etc., who drank and enjoyed the shogunate and sang and exchanged. Zhang Shicheng and Zhang Shixin were the same. They liked to recruit guests, and gave these literati and poets a lot of carriages, living rooms, study quality, and miserable literati and scholars who were rushing to them for a while.

Zhang Shicheng is a man who is "decent and taciturn outside, as if he has a good reputation, but in fact he has no far-reaching vision". In fact, he is a kind person who stops when he sees good things. "(Zhang Shicheng) has been in Wuzhong, and Wu (land) has been peaceful for a long time, and has a strong household registration, becoming arrogant and neglected in political affairs." His brother Zhang Shixin and his son-in-law Pan Yuanshao especially like to gather, "Gold, jade, treasures, ancient calligraphy and paintings are all full of them. They sing and dance day and night to entertain themselves."

It is not so abnormal that the poor are rich. What is terrible is that Zhang Shicheng's military generals are extremely corrupt. "Every time there is an attack, he will be angry, and invite officials, titles, land and houses to rise. (Generals and generals) arrived at the army, and the maids, concubines, musical instruments and instruments they carried were endless, or the people who were talking to each other at the meeting were not inclined to talk to him, but they did not care about military affairs. When they lost their troops and returned to their territory, (Zhang Shicheng) refused to ask about it, and then reused them as generals. The upper and lower levels were fun, and they were even dead."

In contrast, Lao Zhu worked diligently, stayed up all day and night, killed anyone, and strictly governed the army. Even he himself said: "I am careless in everything and was still bullied. Zhang Jiusi (Shicheng) never went out to manage the affairs all year round, how could there be an undefeated person!"

In the past, Chen Youliang asked Zhang Shicheng to attack Zhu Yuanzhang together, but Lao Zhang did not take action. Now, Lao Chen has been defeated, and Zhang Shicheng has become more energetic. In the spring of the 25th year of Zhizheng, Emperor Shun of Yuan, he sent general Li Bosheng and Zhu Yuanzhang's rebellious general Xie Zaixing to lead more than 200,000 horses and sails across the Pujiang River, surrounded all the new cities, built houses, built warehouses, and pre-located officials of the prefectures and counties, making a plan to endure the lasting plan. As a result, Zhu Yuanzhang's nephew Li Wenzhong and general Zhu Liangzu and others defeated the majority with few defeats, killing the Eastern Wu army to lose their armor. Li Bosheng and others were only exempted from their own lives.

Zhu Yuanzhang was determined to command the troops and conquered Taizhou. A few months later, he attacked Gaoyou, the place where Zhang Shicheng made his fortune.

In the 26th year of Zhizheng in Emperor Shun of Yuan Dynasty, Xu Da and Chang Yuchun met with each other to attack Huai'an and conquered Xinghua, and "all the Huai lands were flat". In May, they captured the hometown of Haozhou, the most symbolic "land of dragon development" of Yu Lao Zhu.

Lao Zhu personally went to Haozhou to "province the tombs and feast the elders". Is it true that feasting the elders? Is it purely nonsense? His family is buried in graves, and the mats are shallow. The corpse of the "dragon and phoenix" has long been swallowed by wild dogs, so where can I find it?

Under the great form, many people in Zhu Yuanzhang's group still overestimated Zhang Shicheng's power. Li Shanchang, the leader of the civil officials, said: "Although his power has been repeatedly defeated, his troops have not declined, his territory is fertile and his people are rich, and he has saved more, so he may not be able to suddenly expel it."

The military general Xu Da was well aware of the master's intentions and said, "Zhang's arrogant and extravagant family was at the time of the demise of heaven. The arrogant generals he appointed, such as Li Bosheng and Lu Zhen, were all dirty and insignificant, but only had soldiers to entertain wealth and honor. Those who work in the middle are pedantic scholars who do not know the big plan. I am obedient to the master's power and virtue, leading elite troops to punish them, and the three Wus can be determined by the day!"

Zhu Yuanzhang was overjoyed and ordered Xu Da to start his army.

In September 1366, Zhu Yuanzhang appointed Xu Da as the general and Chang Yuchun as the deputy general. He led 200,000 elite troops to concentrate the main force to eliminate Zhang Shicheng. Old Zhu had many plans and ordered the two generals not to attack Suzhou first, but instead attacked Huzhou directly, "making them tired of running around, and then move their troops to Susu, and they will definitely take them!" With such a great strategist, it is difficult to win.

Following the plan, Xu Da and others led the generals to Longjiang, and sent Li Wenzhong to Hangzhou, and Hua Yunlong went to Jiaxing to restrain Zhang Shicheng's troops. The generals fought hard. Around Huzhou, the Eastern Wu soldiers were defeated. General Lu Zhen and Zhang Shicheng's adopted son nicknamed "Fifth Crown Prince" and other brave generals were defeated and surrendered. His subordinates all surrendered. Li Bosheng, the "Sikong" in Huzhou City, originally wanted to commit suicide and "sacrifice for his country". In order to hold on to his left and right, he had to surrender.

By the end of the year, under the pressure of Zhu Liangzu's army, the Hangzhou garrison Xie Wu (the brother of the rebel general Xie Zaixing) was forced to open the city gate to surrender. In this way, the Eastern Wu lost both the left and right arms, and Pingjiang (Suzhou) became an isolated city, facing the situation of being surrounded on three sides of the south, west and north.

Pingjiang City was firm and fought for ten months before finally conquering it.

While sending troops to attack Zhang Shicheng, Zhu Yuanzhang sent general Liao Yongzhong to "welcome" the King of Ming. When he was walking in Guazhou, Liao Yongzhong entered the cabin and killed Han Liner. Then he sank the ship and came back to report. From then on, Zhu Yuanzhang no longer needed to hit the "Dragon and Phoenix" year. At that time, many people in later generations believed that it was Zhu Yuanzhang's instructor, but some historical researchers believed that this move was actually Liao Yongzhong's troublesome and ugly appearance. Zhu Yuanzhang could have been given a title of king Han Liner and was like house arrest, and there was no need to do such a small human affairs that "no silver here is 300 taels". At that time, Old Zhu was kind-hearted and did not "make" him like Sima's family to Cheng Ji, but he probably despised Liao Yongzhong's character in his heart.

In 1367, the 27th year of Zhizheng in the Yuan Dynasty, in the first year of Wu, when the siege of the city was not over for three months, Zhu Yuanzhang was not in a hurry and sent a "highest instruction" from Jiankang: "The general is outside, and the king is not in control, which is the ancient way. From the later army, the general will do it with advantage."

Xu Da was excited to receive the book, more careful and dedicated.

When Zhu Yuanzhang saw Zhang Shicheng huddled in Pingjiang, he was determined to win, but he was afraid that too many people would die in the attack. His original intention was to siege and trap him, so that Lao Zhang would not spend the city to surrender. At the same time, Lao Zhu kept sending people to the book city, comparing Qian Miao and Dou Rong, he persuaded Lao Zhang to surrender automatically. Zhang Shicheng was stubborn and did not repay him.

As late as July, Zhang Shicheng saw that the food supply in the city was gradually exhausted, and he was a kind and kind person, and could not do anything to kill people for food, so he led tens of thousands of personal soldiers nicknamed "Ten Dragons" to break through. After leaving the city, he saw that the Wu troops in the left west of the city were in a strict formation and did not dare to offend, so he turned to the Zhoumen and rushed to Chang Yuchun's camp. Now he met a bad star. Chang Yuchun was brave and resourceful, and he was brave and capable. He rushed forward and fought fiercely with the soldiers of the Eastern Wu. At the same time, he commanded Wang Bi, a fierce general who was good at dancing with both swords, and attacked the soldiers of the Eastern Wu, and squeezed Zhang Shicheng's more than 100 guards into the Shaban Pond, killing three tenths and drowned seven tenths. Zhang Shicheng himself fell into the water in a shocked manner and was almost drowned. The soldiers risked their lives to rescue him, carried him on their shoulders, and fled back to the city.

After ten days of recovery, Zhang Shicheng gritted his teeth and led his troops to emerge from Xumen. Out of his life-threatening mentality, Zhang Shicheng's army was brave and powerful, and Chang Yuchun's troops, who were attacking head-on, could not withstand it. Such a good opportunity, he could break through, but Zhang Shicheng's younger brother Zhang Shixin, who was standing on the top of the city, did not know which nerve was broken, and shouted: "Soldiers are tired of fighting, can stop the troops." He immediately called out the gold medal to withdraw the troops.

Zhang Shicheng and others were stunned. Chang Yuchun revived, turned around and attacked, defeating the Eastern Wu soldiers. "Since Zhang Shicheng did not dare to come back."

The situation is so critical that Zhang Shixin, the unlucky guy, was not worried at all. He was always as good as a feast on the tower of the city, putting silver chairs everywhere, drinking fine wine and eating delicious food with his confidants. The demeanor is the general, and his plan is brainless. The servant presented him with a big peach. Zhang Shixin admired him for a long time. He just opened his mouth to eat, but suddenly he fired a huge cannon under the city, and hit Zhang Shixin. The man's head was smashed and splattered with peach juice.

After his defeated brother died, Zhang Shicheng was still very tenacious, commanding the soldiers and civilians in the city to resist and killing many Western Wu soldiers. In October, Xu Da launched a general attack, and a hundred attacks were sieges. The Eastern Wu army finally lost its support and the city was trapped.

Zhang Shicheng heard the city collapse in his mansion and said to his wife Liu: "I am defeated and killed, what will you do?"

The woman of Liu's good deeds replied calmly: "Don't worry, I will not let you down." After saying that, she held two young sons in her arms, accumulated firewood and firewood downstairs of Qiyun, climbed the tower with Zhang Shicheng and other concubines, and asked someone to set fire to the building before hanging herself.

It was late at night. The great hero Zhang Shicheng was really dead at dusk. He sat alone in the room for a long time, looking at the fire in Qiyun Tower as if thinking. Then, he threw himself on the beam and prepared to hang himself. Zhang Shicheng's former general Li Bosheng was ordered by Xu Dayu to look for Zhang Shicheng everywhere. He happened to find his former master kicking his legs in the air. He hurriedly stepped forward to rescue him and cried and persuaded, "Are you still afraid that the nine four heroes will not save your life!"

Xu Da immediately took Zhang Shicheng on board and took him to Jiankang by water. During this period, Zhang Shicheng stayed firmly on the boat and took a hunger strike.
