Chapter 1648 : Recapturing Dadu

Chang Yuchun nodded, obviously agreeing with Xu Da's analysis. Moreover, many signs indicate that the Tartars did escape after hearing the news. In this case, it would be much easier to capture the majority of the capital. However, the Tartars were also extremely cunning. Maybe this was a trick to lure the enemy. Thinking of this, he said again: "Is there really no Tartar in the imperial city?"

Hu En nodded and said, "Reporting to the marshal, Bei Zhi dares to guarantee his life. Apart from everything that Bei Zhi said just now, there is no half of Tartar in the imperial city?"

Chang Yuchun looked at Xu Da, his lips moved, and he wanted to say something, but suddenly a young general behind him shouted: "Marson, look!"

Chang Yuchun looked at him and only glanced at him. His eyes widened a little. Xu Da, who was indifferent, glanced at him, raised his face and squinted his beautiful eyes, and looked over, his mouth slightly opened, with an incredible look on his face.

I saw a fire spreading in the direction of the imperial city, and the rolling smoke quickly spread out from the imperial city. The smell of fireworks came to my nose. The huge flames illuminated the entire night sky as bright as day. Everything could be seen clearly, and even the ashes were flying fell into everyone's eyes.

"What's going on?" Xu Da and Chang Yuchun looked at each other and couldn't help but ask inwardly.

"Master, is it the imperial city, it is the fire of the imperial city. Has the imperial city caught fire?"

Xu Da and Chang Yuchun looked at each other, and smiled in each other's eyes. The little worry also quickly disappeared with the rising flames. From the moment they saw the fire, they knew that the ambush in the imperial city was gone, the Tartar emperor had completely left, and the entire imperial city had no obstacles from this moment. Their merits and the merits that had been recorded in history were completed at this moment. From this moment, the Sixteen Prefectures of Yanyun, which had been invaded by foreign tribes for more than 400 years, have been reborn in the hands of the Han people. This will be the rule of the Ming Dynasty and the master of the Han world.

The Jiande Gate outside the capital is inspired by the Qian hexagram of "The Book of Changes": "Heaven moves vigorously, and gentlemen strive for self-improvement." The city gate is the only gate for the Yuan army to go north. Tonight, this city gate was guarded by Guo Ying. More than 10,000 soldiers were temporarily dispatched. At this moment, the city gate was firmly guarded and did not receive the order, and no one dared to leave.

The coach Guo Ying walked back and forth anxiously outside the city gate, looking around from time to time. He dared not forget what Xu Da told him, for fear of negligence, missing fireworks, or sparks, and missing the time to attack and save people. If that were the case, Guo Ying would die a thousand times, and ten thousand times were not enough, so he did not dare to neglect the slightest, but this was the case. After almost a stick of incense, there was no movement in the imperial city, which made him feel extremely uneasy. A small city gate had been gone for about ten times, but nothing was moved in the city.

"General, look at it-?" A soldier screamed at the city gate.

"It's fireworks, general, look, it's fireworks?"

Guo Ying was overjoyed and looked up at the city where fireworks were everywhere and smoke was rolling. Everything was clearly seen. He let out a long sigh and said, "I finally came, but I didn't expect that the fireworks were too big!"

"What should I do with the general?" asked a young general.

"Damn, what else can I do? Send my order quickly and attack the city quickly! Capture Dadu in one fell swoop!" Guo Ying pulled out his waist knife and passed the order.

"I am obedient to take the order!" The young general responded, and waved his sword. More than 10,000 cavalry behind him rushed into the city gate like a gust of wind and rushed towards the imperial city like lightning.

In a secret passage inside the city gate, the team had been waiting for Guo Ying's men to disappear completely before they quickly rushed out. They moved very quickly, without any dragging, and kept coming out the Jiande Gate that once made countless Mongolians proud and recorded their glory.

The first Emperor Yuan Hui was escorted by the team. He spoke slightly at this time. He looked back at the distance. The fire in the imperial city was everywhere. The place where he had lived for thirty-five years was engulfed by a fire. An inexplicable sadness arose from the bottom of his heart. A pair of red and swollen eyes were blown by the night wind, and tears were filled with incompetent tears.

He knew that this was his last look at this place. Since he learned that Xu Da and Chang Yuchun had 300,000 troops guarding the eleven city gates of Dadu, he knew that this time it was difficult to get over, but he still held all his hopes with a try-and-see attitude, but in the end, he failed in the end. He knew all this, but he did not want to admit that the Mongols who were in the world in the past were going to flee to the desert like a dog that was a betrayal. This was something he didn't expect that even the soldiers could not believe it. It was not that he didn't want to tell them, but that he had no face to say it.

Although he had a bold statement just now that he would definitely be able to retake Dadu, he knew that these words were just to comfort the soldiers with low morale. He was not sure how much he could truly believe.

Just as he was sighing, a young general rushed over hurriedly. The guards guarding around Emperor Hui of Yuan were shocked and pulled out their knives. Seeing that the young general was dressed in Mongolian clothes and looked like a Mongolian, he felt much more relieved.

"Your Majesty, it's almost dawn. Your Majesty should leave quickly, otherwise the sky will be discovered by the Southern Barbarians, but they will not be able to leave?" The young general was the leader of the guard this time. He heard the sound of fighting everywhere. This former Mongolian cavalry was almost scared and was just thinking that he had already escaped here. Seeing Emperor Yuan Hui's patience, he was afraid that the lord would change his homage temporarily and came with courage.

Emperor Yuan Hui sighed and finally looked back at Dadu: "Let's go!"

The last one to walk out of the city gate was Ayushirida. He also looked back at the flames that had risen into the air from a distance, gritted his teeth, and squinted his eyes and said, "Here, Ayushirida, I, will definitely come back!" He bit, looked back at Dadu again, slapped his horse's butt with force, and shouted to his left and right: "Go!"

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Let me explain here that from the moment Emperor Hui of Yuan stepped out of Dadu, the Yuan Dynasty's rule in the Central Plains was completely lost. In other words, the Yuan Dynasty was no longer called the Great Yuan, but the Northern Yuan. Although the Ming Dynasty recognized its independence, it denied it as the successor of the Yuan Dynasty. The Ming people believed that the Ming Dynasty had risen and the Yuan Dynasty had ended, and the Ming Dynasty was the orthodox dynasty of China. Therefore, people in the early Ming Dynasty called the Great Khan of the Northern Yuan as "Yuanjun", called his country "Restoration Yuan", "Accomplice Yuan", and later called it Tatars or Northern Lu. It was noted that the Tenth Yuan killed the traitor Yesudier in 142 and called Zhuoliktu Khan, and the Northern Yuan was officially destroyed. The Northern Yuan Dynasty had seven emperors in total, which lasted for 3 years. It was particularly noted that the Northern Yuan only refers to one stage in the Great Mongol Kingdom, because since the defeat of the Later Lord of the Northern Yuan, the "Da Yuan" country name was no longer used in Mongolian literature.

Back then, Alibuge and Kublai Khan fought for the throne, but died of depression after failure (it was suspected to be poisoned by Kublai Khan). Kublai Khan's actions undoubtedly aroused the hatred of Alibuge's descendants and conservative nobles in Helin. In their opinion, the Yuan Dadu was undoubtedly their irreconcilable enemy. In the Yuan Dynasty, although Kublai Khan and his descendants set up provinces in the fundamental land of their ancestors and implemented the system of sect kings leaving the town, the land of dragon flying was never calm.

The Yuan struggle continued, which was a proof that the local forces of Alibuge and the central government of the Yuan Dynasty were incompatible. Driven by this mentality, once the Yuan Dynasty declined and its control over the Mongolian grasslands weakened, they would rise up against the Yuan Dynasty. In 13 years, the opportunity came: the Northern Yuan Emperor and the Great Khan Tugustimur were killed by the traitor Yesudier. Regarding this Khan-killer, Yesudier, who was independent, the report of the Mongolian Zhiyuan who surrendered to the Ming Dynasty recorded in the "Huayi Translation" was said to be the descendant of Alibuge!!!

For a long time after the defeat of Togustimur, the "masters of the army were revived", and wars continued frequently, and their connections with the outside world were basically interrupted. After the victory of the Battle of Fishing Sea, the focus also turned to the handling of internal affairs. In 1399, Ming Taizu died, and Zhu Di and Emperor Jianwen fought with each other, which was for the "Jingnan Battle". During this period, there was basically no record of Mongolia in the "Mingxi Records". Until Zhu Di succeeded in "Jingnan" and became the emperor.

He started to make progress on the northern border defense again and wrote a letter to the Mongolian Khan, demanding that "envoys send good communication and join the family", and it was 143 years. At this time, the Mongolian Khan was precisely Guilichi (i.e. Zhuoliktu Khan). When the Ming Dynasty learned that Mongolia had left the name of the Great Yuan Kingdom, there was a misrepresentation of "Ghost Lichi usurped the Khan, and then called the Tatars". In fact, it was not Guilichi who "departed the name of the country", but Yesudier.

In the later history of Mongolian in the Ming Dynasty, the Great Yuan Kingdom still appeared, and the Yesian Khan was the same during the Dayan Khan period. However, their actions to restore the Great Yuan Kingdom brought great shock to both the Ming and Mongolia sides, which just reflected the fact that Mongolians in the Ming Dynasty had abolished the Great Yuan Kingdom during most periods.

The abolition of the Great Yuan Kingdom means that the Mongolian regime gave up the goal of fighting for the Central Plains and turned to base itself on Mongolia itself. The "Northern Yuan" (13-13) only represents the end of a period, and then entered the Tatar period mentioned in "History of Ming Dynasty" (called by the Ming people, and Mongolia always called itself Mongolia). However, the "Great Mongol" regime, which started from Genghis Khan, continued until the demise of the Chahar tribe in Manchuria in 2013. Therefore, the Great Mongol (12-13 years) can be classified as Mongolia (12-121 years)-Yuan Dynasty (121-13 years)-Northern Yuan (13-13 years)-Tatar (13-13 years). It is now generally referred to the Yuan Dynasty, which is (12-13 years).
