Sixteen Heavenly Demon Dance

Regarding the Heavenly Demon Dance, Emperor Shun of Yuan Dynasty [wasting in political affairs and being deserted in banquets], especially he liked to let the sixteen palace maids wear ivory Buddha crowns, wear tassels on their bodies, wear big red gold-selected long and short skirts and other clothes, dress up as "Buddha Bodhisattva" and dance with the music []. Only those who receive "secret precepts" among the inner palace and subordinates can participate in the viewing, and perform upward and downward, [] began to be popular among the people, such as in "Western Zhejiang" and "Eastern Zhejiang" areas, and even spread to the northwest border.

In order to please Emperor Shun of Yuan, the Western monk Hama introduced Xifan monk to practice the law with secret law and charming the emperor. For this reason, Hama's sister-in-law Jixian scholar Tulu Tashuier was favored by the emperor, but the court became a place for all monarchs and ministers. The monarchs and ministers were addicted to this day. Emperor Shun of Yuan ignored political affairs for a long time.

In order to practice this secret lama practice method, Emperor Shun of Yuan was still not idle enough and had to have fun with everyone. Emperor Shun of Yuan Shun of Yuan often lived in the same room with his mother's uncle Sha and his brother Prince Balang, and his monarch and his ministers, and built a blanket together. For this reason, he [wives a woman's wife, only yn's music is a play.]

When Emperor Shun of Yuan and others were "going great joy" with everyone, he wore a hat with the word "Golden Buddha" inscribed on his head and held a rosary. At the same time, hundreds of beauties wearing "Bodhisattva" costumes such as tassels played musical instruments, sang golden scriptures, and danced geese dances. How free and easy. Emperor Shun of Yuan also [requested more than a hundred concubines to receive the "Buddha" precepts], making the royal family a true name [Spring Palace]. The record in "History of Yuan Dynasty: Hama Biography" says:

[There is also selected as the daughter. Balang Ge, the emperor's brother, and the so-called reliance, were all in front of the emperor. They were with men and women, and they called each other. They were called the room and said that they were all right. The emperor and his ministers were proclaimed, but the monks went in and out of the ban, and their minds were kept in the ban, and their ugly voices were heard outside. Even people in the market also hate to hear it.]

Prince Shun, who grew up under the strong atmosphere of great joy in the Tibetan Lamaism, was of course fascinated by the dual practice of the Tibetan Lama. What is even more ridiculous is that Emperor Shun of Yuan was worried that his son would not know the secret method, so he told him that "secrets can make life longer", and made Tulutemuer teach him. Soon, the prince was also happy with this Tao. He slept and spread throughout the inner court, but it was fashionable to spread outside the palace. In fact, the court and the court were not filled with this evil spirit.

The legend that "bodhisattva" that popular in the Western Regions rejects the seduction of "demons" and "color". The prelude is the joyful Buddha and secret Dharma, and the performance is performed in a secret environment. According to historical records, "Those who have not received the precepts will not be preceded" - the so-called "take precepts" means receiving the secret method of Tantric Buddhism and the great joy method - naturally it is impossible to leave too many live records. The practice method, secret method, and dual practice practiced by Emperor Shun

Dharma, etc., are all arts in the room. He also made more than a hundred concubines receive great joy and Buddha precepts. All of these things made this music and dance covered with a strong mysterious color, which inevitably made people think that this music and dance were just absurd and lustful. In fact, Emperor Yuan Shun acted like this not only because he was obsessed with the beauty of his daughter, but also because he was an enthusiastic believer of the "secret Dharma" and believed that this secret Buddhist Dharma could prolong his life.

Emperor Shun of Yuan Dynasty enjoyed the country for more than 30 years and had almost no achievements. The most recorded historical records were in addition to power struggles and government affairs. He was so intoxicated that later generations always closely linked this music and dance program with the demise of the Yuan Dynasty and regarded it as the sound of the demise of the country, just like Chen Houzhu in "Yushu Houting Flower" and Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty in "Dance of the Rainbow Dress", so-called "the people in the country are in chaos and separation, and the dancers in the palace fight their waists."

Specifically, it was a women's team dance offered by the monks of the West, with the color of Buddhist Tantric Buddhism. The costumes and props of the Heavenly Demon Dance are extremely gorgeous. During the performance, sixteen palace maids dressed as Bodhisattvas. Their hair was combed into multiple braids, ivory Buddha crowns, garlands, big red gauze long and short skirts, gold jackets, cloud shoulders, trousers and sky clothes, ribbon shoes and socks, etc., full of Buddhist atmosphere and beauty. The leader of the dancer held a bell and pestle in his hand and played music.

Others hold Gabala-like instruments (water-filled utensils, some people say they are skulls). There are also eleven palace maids holding dragon flutes, head tubes, drums, zhengs, pipa, sheng, huqin, and ringboards to form an accompaniment band. During the dance, eight people are divided into two lines, with more complex techniques. At the same time, they sing songs such as "Golden Character Classic" and "Yaner" in Hexi. When the dance enters **, its movements turn sharply and circle, which makes it a wonderful thing to fly in the air. [

Emperor Shun of Yuan Dynasty was so crazy that he was deeply envious of the Heavenly Demon Dance Girl. He was deeply encircled by the "Sixteen Heavenly Demons" and could not extricate himself. He built a high pavilion on the Houzai Gate, surrounded by the flying bridge stage, and often held the Heavenly Demon Singing and Dance on it. The residents of the capital heard the sound of music and dance from the stage, as if from Xiaohan. In order to avoid the eyes and ears of the ministers, he built the Qingning Hall in the 19th year of Zhizheng, and specially dug up the tunnel to meet the Heavenly Demon Dance Girl. The tunnel was decorated in a very beautiful way and used it as a night. Among the Heavenly Demon Dance Girls, the three saints, Miaolenu and Wenshunu, the three most dance skills, were the most favored, and received the most rewards. Emperor Shun gave all the food in the official warehouse to these female favors. The salary of the officials could not be paid, so he gave some tea, paper, miscellaneous items instead.

The Heavenly Demon Dance was passed down from Hexi (Xixia). In the early Ming Dynasty, Zhu Youshou wrote "Yuangong Ci": "Boarding the Demon with a lotus and palms, the 28-year-old girl is a beauty. It was originally a Buddhist song in Hexi, and she came to the palace and the palace to sing." There are so-called "Hexi Praises the Buddha Song" in the murals of the Western Xia of Yulin Cave. Dancers and bands danced in a small railing room. Two dancers and girls were half-naked on their upper body, wearing silk belts, short skirts and long trousers, crowns, necks, and necks.

, arm bracelets, bracelets and other decorations. The two of them each hold long ribbons and dance barefoot to each other. This is probably the predecessor of the Heavenly Demon Dance. This kind of music and dance is likely to have become popular in the court and the country during the reign of Kublai Khan or even Genghis Khan. In the 18th year of the Yuan Dynasty, Kublai Khan ordered that "No one will be selected in the future, the sixteen Heavenly Demons will not be selected, the sixteen Heavenly Demons will not be allowed to sing, the zani drama will not be allowed to blow, the four Heavenly Kings will not be allowed to dress up, and the skulls will not be allowed to wear. If there is any violation and the sin, I will respect this."

By the time of Emperor Shun of Yuan Dynasty, due to the love of the emperor and his favorite ministers, they not only rekindled, but also became increasingly fierce. Many ministers not only refused to advise, but instead helped Emperor Shun collect the music scores of the Heavenly Demon Dance. As the Ming Dynasty said in Qu You's "Heavenly Demon Dance": "The Right Prime Minister of the Central Secretariat, Nei Taizheng, and the Suxiong Zhang had music scores." In May of the 18th year of Zhizheng, Bianliang was famine, and the Red Army led by Liu Futong captured Bianliang. What was Emperor Shun doing at this time?

?He was having a great joy with ten people who were dependent on the journey and had fun with the "Hundred Beautiful Girls" who participated. Empress Qi advised him not to be confused by the demon dancer and should cherish his body. He was angry and did not see her for two months. The trend of loving demon dance also spread outside the palace. Zhang Shicheng was the king in Jiangnan, and his younger brother Zhang Shixin was the prime minister of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and built a very grand prime minister's mansion. There were more than a hundred concubines in the back room, so he asked them to "learn the demon dance team".

After the fall of Yuan Dynasty, the Heavenly Demon Dance also followed the Yuan court and fled north, just as Song Ne said in the poem "The felt cart carts carry all the magic of heaven, and only the orioles hold flowers in the imperial garden."
