Chapter 218 Reciting Poems
The second question is that Confucius went to see Boniu and saw what Boniu said when he was suffering from a serious illness.
Judging from the way this question is set, it matches the first question, that is, Confucius must have a successful disciple, Boniu.
Li Bai smiled. It seemed that the Ten Sages of Confucius who wrote about him should be correct.
As for what Confucius said when he went to see Boniu, Li Bai recalled carefully. Confucius held Boniu's hand and said through the window: If he died, his fate will be true. This man is a man and has such a disease! This man and has such a disease!
It means that it is no longer possible, this is fate! How can such a good person get such a disease? The two sentences also express the regret of Confucius's regret for Boniu at that time.
Some people also secretly sighed that the heavens were not good, which led to his students suffering from such a serious disease and lamenting that their fate was so unfair.
Li Bai wrote this passage and then looked at the third question.
These are quotes of sages, and they are all covered in the books he read, and it is not difficult.
Even if some memories are vague, it is not difficult to translate the meaning of sages.
Soon he did the first test paper. If some of them had not been done yet, he would wait to come back and do it again.
The next second test paper lists ten couplets, which were decided by many great scholars of the Imperial College and then.
These couplets are just right at the time of taking the exam.
It is not a difficult couplet. As long as you have a little broader thinking, it should not be a big problem.
The first couplet: I won the third exam, the seventh rank, the eighth rank, the nine lords were exhausted, and the whole thing was reborn because of the river carp.
The first couplet is to let students understand the first couplet, learn about the third exam, the provincial exam, the imperial examination and the palace exam, and then pass the official position and the seventh rank, and they are all powerful.
Without thinking, Li Bai wrote on it directly: After ten years of hard work, he recited the Four Books, talked about the Five Classics, and practiced the Six Arts, just for a leap in the Dragon Gate.
The reason why he came up with this couplet was the source of the first couplet he had seen.
This top couplet is from modern society. The couplet in front of Mingyuan Building, an ancient tribute courtyard in western Guangdong Province is to allow students to study hard, work hard and thrift, and work hard for the future.
The second couplet, when Li Bai saw the second couplet, he was a little surprised. How did these couplets come out all the couplets posted in front of the gates of the major tribute courts?
The second couplet: The light in the middle of the night shines on the Beidou.
Wen Guang, literature, literary talent.
This is the upper couplet in front of the gate of Mingyuan Building, Gongyuan, an ancient capital city, and the lower couplet should be the refreshing air to the west.
Li Bai wrote: I enjoyed the Western Xinjiang with a refreshing atmosphere from the morning.
Although the Western Frontier is not as good as the Western Heaven, after all, the Beidou must be in the sky, and the second couplet must be higher than the Beidou, so it can only be the Western Heaven.
But Li Bai chose to use Western Xinjiang because he wanted to meet the situation.
The third couplet, Shanxi Gongyuan: Autumn scenery comes from the west, Yanmen Zipai.
Li Bai wrote down: When will the bright moon appear? Yuyu Qiong Tower.
There are three consecutive couplets without any pressure, and there is enough of them, and these couplets are collected from Mingyuan Building, major tribute courtyards.
Mingyuan Tower is a building that is located in all counties and prefectures under the jurisdiction of the Tang Dynasty.
This kind of building is located in the center of Gongyuan. Each place has different talents who write and leave door couplets to encourage local students to study hard.
The tribute court is not only available in Chang'an, but also in various places.
As the name suggests, it means selecting talents for the court, selecting talents and then tribute to the court.
The fourth couplet is the first couplet of Hangzhou Gongyuan: The Rongjing reopens and looks for the old traces to the lakes and mountains.
Li Bai wrote: The sprig branches are beautiful, and the moon is full of talent.
This is also a self-comfort. Tell others that sooner or later, you will definitely see that I am really talented and learned from you.
The fifth couplet is the upper couplet of Mingyuan, Hangzhou Gongyuan: When the osmanthus is fragrant, the locust flowers are yellow.
This first couplet is not the time. If this first couplet was released in August three months ago, it would be true. After all, the fragrance of osmanthus flowers in August and the locust flowers in September is a good time to release the results.
As we all know, there is a beautiful scenic spot in Hangzhou, that is West Lake.
So Li Bai used West Lake to correspond to the second couplet: Go out and smile, watch the moon is full in the West Lake and the tide in the east and Zhejiang.
On the night of the moon-filled West Lake, watch the tide rises and falls...
The sixth alliance Xi'an Gongyuan Jingbaitang: Hanguandong, Yuguanxi, and Cui provinces, and the hand-held sect.
Seeing this, Li Bai lifted his pen and put it down: He made the star inside and outside the star, and the master of the time was integrated into the curling spirit.
The eighth, ninth, and tenth couplets are all couplets from other tribute courts. Li Bai has already read these couplets silently in his heart, so there is no need to worry about not being able to write them out.
Li Bai has filled out all the ten couplets.
Then I wrote the poem, leaving four spaces on it. The first poem asked all candidates to leave a poem that encourages learning or is inspiring and bold, with annotations on it. If the poem is well written, it will be included in the Mingyuan Building of Gongyuan for later students to learn and read.
The second poem describes scenery and objects, or describes certain things in meaning when describing the scene.
The third poem describes the things that are about caring about the motherland and defending the country. They can be about civilians going to war with the emperor or joining the army for their father.
The fourth poem describes missing your lover, missing family affection, and placing friendship.
The four poems are written with inspiration, encouragement of learning, boldness, description of scenery and objects, caring about the motherland and expressing feelings.
Every poem has nothing to do with each other, and this shows a person's great future and long-term vision.
Li Bai looked at these poems and thought to himself how to start writing.
At this moment, Fang Liang on the high platform clapped his hands and said, "Everyone, I believe you have done almost the quotations of the sages. Now I will tell you about the requirements for the ten couplets..."
When Li Bai heard this, he shook his head. It was more than just doing it, he had finished all ten couplets.
Li Bai listened to what Fang Liang said above for a moment, and roughly, he had to rhyme, neatly, and structurally connected.
These are the basis of couplets, who doesn’t know? So Li Bai didn’t listen to them anymore, but thought about how to write these four poems.
The first poem is bold or inspiring... or encouragement to learn, the poet Li Bai has a very bold poem.
"To Become a Wine" written by Li Bai quickly flashed through his mind.
"About Wine", the pinnacle poem written by Li Bai, mainly describes the restrained culture of wine and China, the generous drinking and the boldness of the poet.
This poem Li Bai is very broad in structure, fully reflecting his seven-character songs and deeds.
Bold and unrestrained? Is this poem bold enough? Now Li Bai thinks of this poem and wants to feel drunk.
Li Bai wrote directly:
"Don't you see that the water of the Yellow River comes from the sky, flows to the sea and never returns."
"Don't you see, the mirror in the high hall is sad and the white hair is as white as black hair, and the evening turns into snow."
"You must be happy when you are in a happy life, and don't let the golden cup face the moon empty."
"I was born with my talents and I will be useful, and I will come back after all my money is gone."
"It is fun to cook sheep and slaughter cattle, and you will have to drink three hundred cups at a time."
"Senior Bai, loyal and kind-hearted, don't stop drinking."
(Original text: Master Cen, Danqiu Sheng, if you are about to drink, don’t stop the glass.)
