Chapter 23: Sturdy Texas Police

A few days later, Chen Ze and Marcusi came to St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas.

"Mr. Chen, the experimental instruments you ordered have already arrived. Are you planning to move them away now?"

After Chen Ze and Marcusi arrived, a staff member who had been in contact took them to a warehouse and pointed to the instruments with dustproof cloth in the warehouse and asked.

"Yes, we drove a large truck over and these instruments should be able to be transported away."

Chen Ze nodded, then pointed to the boxes and asked, "Can I take a look at these instruments first?"

"Of course, you can check it carefully. If there is any damage, we will also be able to return and exchange it for you." The staff member who looked in his thirties responded with a smile.

Chen Ze nodded and smiled, walked to the instruments that sealed the box and protected the dust, uncovered the dustproof cloth and pulled open the protective cotton wool in the box and took a closer look.

St. Edward's University is a higher education and experimental institution located in Austin, Texas. Chen Ze contacted them a few days ago from an agent and asked them to order a large number of experimental equipment.

Of course, he also paid a lot of labor fees from the intermediary and St. Edward University.

Chen Ze is now the first batch of experimental instruments delivered in the dozens of large boxes in front of him. He just received a message from St. Edward's University yesterday, and today he immediately bought a large truck and rushed over.

Uncovered the dustproof cloths on the boxes, and Chen Ze carefully looked at whether the instruments inside were damaged.

These things can be used whether they are equipped with knight cultivation potions or other things. Although a large part of Chen Ze's purpose of building a manor in the ranch is for more hidden wizard cultivation, there are also many experimental instruments, or...

To realize some of my experimental ideas.

After checking all the instruments and not finding any damage, Chen Ze called some porters and asked them to move the boxes to the truck compartment in the university parking lot.

It took nearly a morning to leave from the ranch to Austin. Chen Ze and Marcusi had a meal at noon before coming over. It took another two hours to wait until the porters moved all the experimental instruments to the truck.

After communicating with the staff, he temporarily parked the truck at the school, Chen Ze and Marcusi drove another pickup truck to another place.

As early as when he returned to the ranch, Chen Ze purchased all the magic stones from several crystal dealers in Dallas, and it would take a long time for their next batch of goods to arrive.

So after they introduced it, Chen Ze contacted several dealers in Austin and took advantage of the fact that the goods were picked up from them today.

After coming to Dezhou, Chen Ze did not buy magic stones in these days as he did in China, but instead bought some crystals and magic stones together to avoid attracting attention.

I found those dealers one by one, and Chen Ze was no exception this time. He paid hundreds of thousands of dollars each to buy hundreds of kilograms of crystals and magic stones from their warehouses.

When the last crystal dealer left, it was getting darker and it was already seven o'clock in the evening.

"Macury, find a restaurant, we stay in Austin for one night after dinner and go back tomorrow morning."

In the co-pilot, Chen Ze looked at the time and ordered Marcusi: "By the way, when you go to the restaurant later, remember to call the St. Edward's staff just now, and said that we might not be able to get back tonight and we have to put the truck there overnight."

"Okay." Marcusi nodded and drove straight to the city.

Taking into account Chen Ze's taste, Marcusi found a local Chinese restaurant in Austin.

Parked the car to the underground parking lot, the two of them came to the restaurant and ordered a few dishes. The food was served in a few dozen minutes, perhaps to cater to the tastes and habits of the Americans. Although these dishes looked no different from those in China, they tasted a different taste.

After eating a few bites, Chen Ze put down his chopsticks and waited for Marcusi to finish all the meals before the two left the restaurant and prepared to go to the parking lot to pick up the car.

There is a short road to the parking lot, and there is still an alleyway in the middle. But just as Chen Ze and Marcusi entered the alleyway, they suddenly stopped.

Three or four black men leaning against the entrance of the alley suddenly walked towards him. These young black men were wearing colorful hip-hop T-shirts, earrings and nose rings, and they could tell at a glance that they were a group of gangsters.

"A little gangster?"

Chen Ze had no expression on his face and murmured in a low voice: "It's true that it's an indispensable product anywhere."

After muttering, Chen Ze turned his head to look at Marcusi. Marcusi immediately nodded his head lightly, and did not turn around and run away like ordinary people, but walked straight towards them.

The black gangsters were obviously surprised to see Marcus coming towards them, but they did not stop, but ran over and surrounded Marcus.

One of the black men shook a Swiss army knife in his hand, looked up and down at Marcusi, shouting, "Do you understand the money? Hand over all the money you have."

"Are you sure?" Marcusi raised his lips and smiled.

"What's the point of losing it? Take out the money quickly."

The black man yelled at Marcusi again, then looked at Chen Ze not far away, and signaled to a companion beside him: "Go and take all the money he has on him."

"etc……"

Marcusi's face suddenly became serious, and he immediately stretched out his arm to throw the black man who was about to walk towards Chen Ze to the ground.

"Shet, damn old guy, you dare to do it."

"Bang!"

The black young man spat and took the knife toward the Marcusi bucket, but the sudden gunshot suddenly froze all his movements.

Everyone looked in the direction of the gunfire, and Chen Ze was no exception. He saw a middle-aged patrolman wearing a black police uniform running from the entrance of the alley with a pistol and running a few steps between the black gangsters and Marcusi.

The middle-aged policeman stared at the black young man holding the knife and held the gun in his hand tightly, as if they would shoot immediately as long as they made any moves.

After a while, he turned his head and said softly to Marcusi: "Get back and be careful."

Marcusi was a little surprised. He was just about to take a few gangsters to practice his skills, but who would have thought that the policeman suddenly shot and jumped out.

However, thinking that it would save me some trouble, I took a few steps back to Chen Ze.

The two of them stood not far away, and only the middle-aged police officers shouted sternly and scolded the black gangsters, and kicked them hard in the middle, and they all ran away in a panic from the other side of the alley.

"You weren't injured by those bastards, are you?"

Seeing them running away, the middle-aged white policeman turned around and came to Chen Ze and Maku and asked.

"No."

Marcusi shook his head and smiled, "Luckily you came in time, otherwise these niggers would have to stab me with a knife."

"This bunch of bastards is just restless."

The middle-aged policeman put the gun back into the gun bag, cursed, and said to the two with a stern face: "You should be careful in the future. This time I happened to catch up, and you may not be so lucky next time."

"Although the security in Austin is pretty good, these bastards will still come out from time to time to cause trouble. In the future, it is better for you to not enter such dark alleys one or two at night."

Marcusi and Chen Ze didn't want to say anything more, so they nodded repeatedly and said yes.

"Okay, I'm going to patrol."
